I'll probably have regrets about it but I ordered Kid Niki 3 loose. Not insane enough to buy a complete copy.

I just went to my local dump store and picked up this baby for just €3!

Granted, it's in a somewhat rough shape, and there's no controller, memory card or games to go with it, but €3 for the system is still a steal!
King's Day is coming up, maybe I can snatch a cheap controller there

I found Ducktales 2 the other day! It was $40 I think that was a big of a steal. Nothing's wrong with it either.

Is this retro enough for ya?

I've been waiting for this since Christmas! My dad got it for us as a family gift, but it was still being restored. Thankfully, it's finally here!

A restored Blackwater 100 pinball machine! Produced by Bally Midway, this machine was unique in that you start out with 3 balls. This mechanic was critised however, and there's a software update available which limits you to one ball at a time at all times. Luckily, we don't have that software version . And I even have the original manual with it and everything! Granted, that manual is in terrible shape, but at least I have it .

The machine was kept as original as possible, which is why the casing has lost part of its colour. Heck, even the coin slot still takes guldens (the previous Dutch currency, now replaced by the euro). It's on free play though, so that's not an issue.

Sadly, of course it was too good to be true. He restored the Suzuki logos by putting stickers with new logos over the original painted logos, and of course those stickers got loose after hitting them with a ball once. A stupid design choice if you ask me, but whatever.
Worst of all, two of the five paddles broke down as soon as the guy who restored it left. This makes racking up points a lot harder. The sad part is that these paddles are built in with parts that were produced specifically for this machine, so those parts are no longer available. So fixing them is very difficult (and that may also explain why they don't work now). But we already contacted the guy who restored it, and he'll probably come in to fix it soon. Other than that, I'm super happy with it! Definitely the gem of my collection!...until I move out and I can't take it with me

EDIT: Never mind, it's working now. Apparently the whole issue was a loose wire...

ANOTHER EDIT: Never mind, now all the flippers on the left broke down. Guess we'll just have to call in the mechanic. Also, I know the plastic is old, but we literally hit a hole in the plastic with one of the balls. We had to take out the entire playing field to get the ball back. I know the plastic is old, but for it to do that, wow...

I got a loose Knight Quest for Game Boy (no way I'm paying the insane CIB price!). Is that one of the very (officially) few translated original GB JRPGs? I can only think of that, Great Greed, the FFL series and Pokemon.

Just ordered star fox assault as it is starting to get rarer and I have a feeling like with fire emblem, when star fox zero comes out and people want the older games the older ones might skyrocket in price! It might not though but why take the risk? when it comes to the gamecube ones I hear adventures is good as an action adventure and a 1/3 of assault is good but the game is very short!

This is the stuff I got at the Retro Game Market in Doncaster (http://events.retrocollect.com/). There is a place called "Backside Lane", which me and my friend found very funny.
Untitled

Everything in the top right (SNES Stuff, Spider-Man, N64 and Xbox Controllers) is what my friend bought. As for me:
** Shikigami no Shiro II (GameCube) for £30 - A really good shooter that I have been after. The game inside was sealed.
** Soul Calibur II (Strategy Guide) for £3 - Came with a CD and a poster.
** Dreamcast Rumble Pack for £5 - Feel the rumble!
** Green USA Dreamcast Controller and Green VMU for £5 - Controller needs fixing.
** EU Dreamcast Controller in Box for £4 - Need more Dreamcast controllers, which there were a lot of.
** Gameboy Printer for £5 - Need to get paper that will cost more than the item...
** Doremon 3 (N64) for £5 - It was cheap, plus Doremon is awesome!
** Crash Bandicoot 3 (Japan Version - PlayStation) for £7 - Has a crack on case, so I need to get a replacement.
** Bust-A-Move 3 DX (PlayStation) for £4 - Loved playing this game when I was younger.
** Orange N64 Memory Pak (I think 3rd party) for £2 - It was orange!
** Olympic Gold (game Gear) for £1 - I need to get my Game Gear fixed.
** Mario and Sonic Pin Badges for £2 - I collect them, and these are cool.

If Pokémon Tournament for Wii U hadn't been released that month, I would have brought a few other things. They had Star Fox 64 (USA Version - N64) for £18, Wii U Pro Controller for £11 and a Japan copy of Soul Calibur (Dreamcast) for £5.

The market place was really good. I was expecting a lot more overpriced vendors there, but most of them had a fair prices. I will be going next year.

Last Saturday, I went with my friend to check out Gotham Games in Lincoln (http://www.gothamgames.co.uk/home.html). Here's what I got:
Untitled

Sorry for the bad picture. Minus the Squirrel Girl comic and Silver GameCube (bought at a car boot for £15), the whole bundle cost me £50. The original total was £56, but I asked if they could do it for £50, which they said yes. Game Chasers 101, always bundle and ask.

** Mario Golf (GameCube) - Since my friend had just bought the Silver GameCube, he could now play this awesome golf game.
** Beach Spikers (GameCube) - I already had the Japan version, so I told my friend to get this really good Volleyball game. Very cheap to pick up.
** James Pond: The Aquatic Games (Mega Drive) - My friend really wanted this game...
** Wetrix (Dreamcast) - Heard it is better than the N64 version.
** Magical Drop 3 (PlayStation) - It was missing the manual, but they were only charging £3. I have been after a copy of this for a while.
** Retro Force (PlayStation) - Never heard of this, creepy art work, looks like an arcade style shooter.
** Gekido: Urban Fighters (PlayStation) - Again, never heard of this one. It supports 4 players and has a score rating of 93% (this better not be lying).
** Gameboy Link Cable - It was orange. I'm a sucker for orange.
** Master System Controller (3rd Party) - Don't have any Master System controllers, and this one has a nice d-pad.
** Logic 3 GameCube Arcade Stick - Been playing a lot of Soul Calibur II lately, and this is an awesome arcade stick. It even has rumble support.

It was a decent retro shop. Some items were a bit over-priced, but they had some interesting stuff there. They even had a Area 51 Arcade Machine there. Check the shop out!

Ordered another obscure Japanese Game Boy RPG CIB "Legend". I hope that Quest made a decent game before they turned into the Ogre Battle company. And as such this is now a GB game that will forever be locked in the Square-Enix vault, probably.
Would like to pick up another game but I forgot my password for the site it was offered on.

Ordered a few SFC manuals.
Also, one for a possibly uncommon Famicom game called DeBlock. I already have copy with box and photocopied manual, but it's worth a few bucks to upgrade to a real one.
Also one of the stranger games I've seen, McDonalds Story for GBC. Looks like a McRPG. (just watching a bit of gameplay footage: so in Japanese McDonalds' do they serve the food to you? American McDonalds is more fattening, also from what I heard, but you have to at least walk to the counter and pick up your meal yourself )

@RealPoketendoNL: Nice! if you need any help, you should go make an account on Pinside. Lots of really helpful people there!

I gotta say though, doesn't sound like whoever restored it did a very good job. Pinball machines break down a lot, but not that much. Hopefully you can get it fixed. (And it's great that you have the manual, that will be really useful whenever you need to diagnose problems. I know it helped me with my Stargate.) You just can't properly play a pinball machine if any of the flippers are broken... Good luck!

I like makin' games!
Future Pinball games!
Petit Computer games!!
and SmileBASIC games!
Waiting for Kirby Air Ride 2. One day, it will come. One day...

Tamagotchi for GB haha It was $2, works like it should. I use to have this as a kid and it would stress me out because they'd get sick and wouldn't heal the way they would with the pocket keychain types, and the mini games acted funky sometimes, the Tamagotchi would get mad and go back to it's home planet or die or w/e haha
I may still have it, but I didn't see it in my main collection so maybe I sold it a while ago, but if I have 2 then oh well, not much moolah wasted.

@OneBagTravel: Speaking of famicon (which by the way is a really cool purchase!) That new 3ds xl famicon edition looks super sweat I LOVE the colourful buttons that are finally making it's way to the new 3ds xl and the front of the console looks a bit meh IMO it's kinda a paste of the console but a hell of a load better than that NES 3ds xl which was just a controller pasted on! The box art is really neat too!

@OneBagTravel: Yep Nintendo seems to have really nailed the box art! Now that I see the console again, it looks a lot better than I though! I never knew there was a wiimote one either! Oh but it's club nintendo exclusive that would explain it! Out of interest how did you insert a picture into the comment section?
