i know what you mean. however, try going to a place like nintendoage to talk about retro games...theres a bunch of dillbags that act like their crap dont stink. they called out pat the nes punk and game chasers. yet none of them have a show as live as the 2 i just mentioned, and they never will. this is really the only civil place to talk about retro games without some jerk managing to throw in how he has a new mercedes in the middle of talking about games. fine folks over there they are. like @the_shpydar said you know where we are. ill always be here. this is actually my favorite site still. if people dont want me here that makes me want to stay more. heh. and now...

after pondering this for a while i decided to order this book based on my family (the belmonts) who else? i should have got this when @the_shpydar shot me a link on our highly attractive backloggery pages when it was on sale. but alas! i pay more!

i also got this little gem from ultra, konamis 2nd company , konami could only release so many games a year under that brand so they made ultra. did you know gaming? konami is a very diverse company you see. one minute yer making metal gear and castlevania games and the next yer cleaning toilet bowls and scraping gum off the bottom of used-to-be game developers desks. when i grow up i want to work for konami. i mean ultra. i mean konami. i mean ultra.
this is rollergames...a beat em up on rollerblades.

@WaveBoy: @the_shpydar: Add me to your little group, lol. I would attribute alot of Nintendolife's change to James' departure once he left this site changed big time. After he left alot of the old timers like WariosWoods for example just disappeared while others like Waltz for whatever reason got banned and then you had a newer generation come in. And I don't know if it's me or what but this newer generation just annoys me. The posts alot of times are question that can be answered by simple googling or are just meaningless. But I digress.

Pretty much I know how you guys feel which like you is really why this thread is the only one I really post in or even follow other then as @the_shpydar said to point out when something or someone just sounds stupid or unbelievably idiotic.

But then again as @ogo70 pointed out this is really the only place that I've found that I can discuss retro goodness with a good group of guys. Still @WaveBoy you can find me here or at my backloggery.. Just as always take care man.

@ogo79: Holy crap, i also just bought Roller Games (as well as one other Ultra game to be revealed soon)! Our awesomely sexy baldness powers are in sync once again. Either that, or we were both again inspired by HG101 in our gaming purchases

@Tasuki: I'm probably part of the "new generation" I do try not to be annoying though. So just got path of raidiance despite the fact it cost me a damn fortune but I'm looking forward to the game and a complete fire emblem series collection!

@DoctorOverbuild: Honestly I don't find you annoying at all. There are a few yourself included that are great to chat with but overall for every one great new member there seems to be 5 annoying ones if you know what I mean. When say 4, 5 years ago there were maybe a 5 to 1 ration of great members to annoying. As I said before not sure why that changed but it seemed to happened for the most part after James left.

@Tasuki: I know what you mean I never really knew James so I can't really say anything about that but I'm glad you guys don't find me annoying haha

@DoctorOverbuild: Yeah its hard to explain, unless you were there both when James was around and now. For one thing James had more of a presence in the forums then the editors do now. Don't get me wrong, @ThomasBW84 does a great job but he just isn't as well noticeable as James was in the forums. I don't know if that has something to do with the more annoying users popping up or if ts just the sites popularity growing but slowly it's starting to feel more like anyother video game site out there now. I hardly see any of the non mod staff hanging out in the forums at all anymore.

I should make an effort to get involved with the forums. The thing is I've never been a forum kind of guy, practically never using them in my life. I joined the forums in 2010 (I think it was) primarily to get involved in GoldenEye Wii online matches, weirdly enough.

I take the point that taking part matters though, I'll try to get into it - it's just a bit out of my comfort zone.

@ThomasBW84: Lol yeah it was the Goldeneye match making thread that got you here. Heck I even remember playing a few games with ya . But yeah I hope you didn't take my post as being critical about you or any of the other staff. I understand that the forum thing might not be your cup of tea or you are busy etc. But honestly that was one thing that got me to join and kept me coming back to NL. The fact that the staff just felt like part of the community more so then just staff, if that makes sense. I remember like I said @James, @Corbs and Phil being a big part of the forums now with them gone I don't see any of the staff involved with the forums except for the Mods. Just like other gaming sites.

@Tasuki: Oh that's impressive you actually got @ThomasBW84 to come to the forums haha. I know what you mean in certain ways how a website feels like it's all in one but now it kinds feels like the staff are 'out of our league' in a way, no offence Tom you know I love this website and I've given it countless shoutouts in my videos even giving you some haha!

Finally just paid for my copy of fire emblem path of radiance meaning the only one I need to get is radiant dawn! Once you've got path of radiance you feel like a true fire emblem fan hahaha

heh. i had been thinking of getting rollergames for a while on and off, but when i seen it on hg101 its like it came to me in a dream! so i removed all garments, put on my rollerblades and skated my way to victory down the busiest freeway i could find. as stated, great minds think alike.

@ThomasBW84: That'd be awesome, but you've been doing an amazing job with the site no one can argue with that it's not up to you who gets to be a member or not! Keep doing what you're doing

Just because I'm not present around here much anymore doesn't mean you guys are forgotten! I will always remember you dudes when I look at my retro collection. I don't collect much anymore and I'm pretty satisfied with what I have and glad I can share it with my two boys. I dream about you guys all the time though! Sometimes we are all over at my house playing the SNES drinking Crystal Pepsi and listening to "Right Now" by Van Halen in the background, or sometimes we are at @Waveboy's playing NES munching on Ecto Cooler Popsicles his mom made, other times it's at @Tasuki's playing Sega Genesis scarfing down Hostess Turtle pies and looking at dirty magazines, can't forget to phone home at @the_shpydar's while trying to figure out how to complete E.T. on the 2600 all night, and lastly we are sometimes over @ogo79's waiting for his bigger brother to drive us to the Golden Corral in his dad's woody station wagon.

Purchased my AGS-101 kit. More than I wanted to pay originally but I can't put this project aside when prices are just rising. I forgot how horrible the GBA screen is by itself.

@Ryno: Post of the year dude, post of the year. I say this October we all meet up at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo in Portland Oregon. That's not too far from you guys is it? Lol
