Topic: Gamecube Vs. Wii, which had the best Library?

Despite how panned they were by industry anylasists and so called "hardcore" gamers, the Nintendo GameCube and Wii both ended up having two of the quirkiest, most, unique, innovative, and underrated game libraries of their console generations despite lacking high profile third party support. Both systems have some underrated masterpieces, truly unique gems, and some good alternatives to more mainstream game franchises. However, which system would you say had the best in terms of number of quality games, and most unique?

I'd say the Wii, but I didn't really play the GC era during its time. It's all BC to me, and even though I find the selection to be small, they're all amazing. The Wii had bigger volumes and overall better, but GC has some amazing gems.

GameCube by a mile.

More variety, no forced motion controls, and it still got 70-80% of the big third party multi-platform releases

Obviously Gamecube

The Wii because I actually got one vs. skipping the GameCube entirely. Luckily, I have been able to play the best versions of 3 of the best GameCube games with Wind Waker HD and Metroid Prime Trilogy.

The best library? Although I personally prefer the GameCube over the Wii in terms of consoles, I still think the Wii has a better library.

With games like Metroid Prime, Animal Crossing, and the Wind Waker - the Gamecube, imo, beats the Wii.

The Wii had that god awful Other M game, Animal Crossing City Folk (more or less an upgraded Animal Crossing Wild World) and a ported version of Twilight Princess (in my opinion, the most boring Zelda game ever).

Not until Skyward Sword came along did I finally appreciate Motion Controls...and they still aren't my cup o' tea tbh.

I really feel that it's relevant that the Wii was backwards compatible with the Gamecube. I mean, technically the Wii library includes the Gamecube library.

Anyway, I guess I find myself playing the Wii exclusive games more often these days.

if it's about the better good/bad games ratio, I'd be willing to bet on GC any day(even if I lost)
if it's most great games probably the Wii as it had way more games.
and if I should only consider my favorites in each system GC without a doubt

GameCube. The Wii's forced motion controls somewhat killed the console for me, regardless of how good some of the games were otherwise.

Actually, most Wii games support the Classic or GameCube controller.

The one without the lame forced motion controls.

Since I can play my GCN games on my Wii...

I'm really disappointed to see the hate for motion controls here.

Not some of the most prominent first party titles which has a big impact on my overall opinion of the system.

Well Nintendo's games almost always use motion controls right.
