It's impressive what Phil Spencer has achieved try regarding Japanese support 😁.

Aaron Greenberg (Microsoft) confirms my theory, "Future 1P titles are developed for Xbox Series X first. Not saying those games won’t ship on Xbox One, only that we are leading with Series X & each studio will decide what's best for their game/community when they launch".

What this means is that apart from cross-gen Halo Infinite, Xbox Game Studios are focused on Series X. I think that it's the logical decision.

@BruceCM it would be cool to see Atlus revisiting SMT Nine and translate it for west regions.

I never saw at least one girly 1st party game from Microsoft while Nintendo have their Style Savvy for Fashion game.
Are Microsoft really do not care with women and kids audiences by provide them with games like that ?
All i saw from Microsoft games were just Adult male games over and over again.
Games only created for adult male gamers, not for women, not for kids, not for quirky players.
Not attractive for me, it was like cookie cutter games for eternity.

You make it sound like Microsoft aren't behind games like Minecraft and Super Lucky's Tale.

Microsoft needs more 1st party games that dedicated for women, kids and family.
Their 1st party games.
I never saw Microsoft dare to create Cooking Mama style games, Style Savvy style games, Animal Crossing style games, Quirky Mii style games.
I was thinking that was one reason why Xbox didn't sell well on Asian territory especially Japan.
Some Japanese peoples like Kawaii (Cute) stuffs.
Xbox still lack of those games for Japanese peoples.
Some Japanese peoples do not like Western franchises, same with me as Asian people.
Is it hard for Western people to create Kawaii games ?
Or Western peoples still think Japanese cultures was weird ?

Alright, I bite. Why it has to 1st party game? I agree that Xbox needs all kind of games, but why these cute/girlie whatever games needs to be Microsofts 1st party titles.

Its like, I don't whine because Nintendo doesn't have 1st party FPS games, but I still think that Switch needs FPS games.

It is not hard ofc. It is a fact that a VERY small group of people like such games. And why invest in something that is for such small minority?

Just be glad that such games are produced at ALL anymore.

Girlies games are not played by the masses and they never will be played by the masses.

Accept that or torture yourself more and more. Your choice.

Because if those girly games are 3rd party and multi console release, i will consider either Nintendo or PlayStation version as both of them are easily to be purchased here in Indonesia than Xbox games.
Xbox brand is totally dead in Indonesia, only very few peoples think about Xbox games.

If the girly / cutesy games are 1st party Microsoft games, i might have a reason to consider Xbox machine. But it must have interesting 3rd party Xbox exclusive as well to secure my Xbox purchase. Alas, it never happened.

I have ever wishing to get previous Xbox machines just because of Dance Dance Revolution that exclusively on Xbox machines with their exclusive songs.
But i never bought either OG XBOX or Xbox 360 or Xbox One due to these reasons:
1. Only 4 DDR games on OG XBOX caught my attention. Not a wise purchase if only buy OG XBOX for 4 games only. They are 3rd party games by Konami.
2. Only less than 10 titles of Xbox 360 games i have interest about. They are DDR Universe series (3 games) & Dance Evolution, both of them are 3rd party games by Konami exclusively on Xbox 360.
Also, a few Kinect games. Those are the 1st party Microsoft games that caught my attention. Once again, RROD issue and less than 10 titles are not wise purchase.
3. Only 2 titles from Xbox One that caught my attention: Disneyland Adventures and Zoo Tycoon. Really not a wise purchase if purchased Xbox One just only for 2 games. Both of them are Xbox exclusive games by Microsoft.

Nintendo have their FPS games, well... Splatoon and Metroid Prime Federation Force are the example.

There's also Avatar Farm and Avatar Adventures (while not published by microsoft, it is quirky mii type games, that uses microsoft's avatar that you can look into.)

But i found some of those Xbox games were Online required and digital only.
I don't think they are still available from Xbox Live as those are old games, they might be discontinued.
Also, i prefer playing in physical release, not in digital format.
I still have attachment with physical release of video games so digital only games will never appealing me.
Added with very abysmal internet infrastucture in Indonesia + not many peoples in Indonesia sell Xbox Live voucher, i doubt i can consider Xbox machines.

Btw, i will consider your suggestion and think carefully from the choices.

@Zuljaras Yup, there has never been, nor will there ever be any cute, kiddy games on an Xbox platform...

And then there's Stardew Valley for the farm-loving people, Riverbond for the Animal Crossing/Minecraft fans, Overcooked for the puzzle/cooking game fans, etc. etc.

But seriously, I don't know why we even try to formulate an answer anymore, since it'll never hit home anyways...

@ThanosReXXX Well, he didn't articulate himself well, but he's looking for exclusive games (not on PS4 or Switch, with disqualifies stuff like Slime Rancher or Stardew) with physical releases.

There are still some, but as you've shown off, it's mostly Kinect stuff.

The funny thing is that Viva Pinata LOOKS cutesy, but is really quite gruesome when you dig into it. It really is Microsoft's Pikmin, down to and including that we'll likely never see another new one. 😂

@Ralizah There's actually tons of kid-friendly games on Xbox, if you look at all current and older, backwards compatible titles, so you're looking at hundreds of suitable titles. And far as I know, Slime Rancher is exclusive to Xbox and PC, so it does count.

The reason I specifically highlighted the Kinect stuff is to show that there actually are several uber-cute games to be found on Xbox, so cute even that it spontaneously melts the enamel off of your teeth...

There are a lot of third-party multiplat games like that on Xbox, but almost nothing exclusive, aside from, as you pointed out, certain Kinect games, and maybe one or two other small games like that. And the Kinect ones won't be BC on Series X, since Microsoft is cutting Kinect support completely.

I do happen to think that Microsoft really needs a premium, exclusive 3D platformer to compete. PS5 is getting multiple, by the looks of it. Nintendo has Mario Odyssey and some smaller ones. It blows my mind that Microsoft is doing nothing with the Banjo-Kazooie IP, personally.
