Forza's a weird one because all Forza games so far have been delisted after 4 years. On the Forza Motorsport side the current trend suggests there won't be a purchasable Forza Motorsport if the Series X game doesn't release next year and on the Forza Horizon side you've got the question of "Is Forza Horizon 5 in 2022 realistic considering Playground Games are working on Fable?".
Xbox still don't have their 1st party games as adorable as Nintendo 1st party games.
I still don't understand, are Western peoples really do not like to create cute games like Nintendo did ?
Are Western peoples think Realistic is more appealing than Chibi cartoonish looking ?
Japanese peoples seems still have interest with Chibi and Cartoonish looking games. They are the Master of Cuteness overload.
Microsoft's lack of Chibi and Cartoonish 1st party games was really a problem for me.
"Microsoft gave us a deeper look at Everwild, the upcoming multiplayer game from Rare, during its Xbox Series X games showcase today.
Rare teased Everwild last November, revealing that the project is some kind of fantasy-based sandbox online game. "
When I watched the show last night, I was seriously underwhelmed by Halo. I put it down to the poor quality of the stream though,as on top of the stuttering, it was really low resolution for me at times. Having just watched the trailer again, in 1080p 60fps, I'm still unimpressed and left thinking, is that it?
I understand it's a game built to run on current gen hardware but this is a new entry in Xbox's bluechip franchise. A game that's supposed to showcase the power of a new console that Spencer says is the 'biggest generational leap since 2D to 3D'.
By current gen standards, it doesn't even look that impressive. I even spotted some pop in in the distance.
Halo looked great if you think it's just the last game for the Xbox One. Although not even the best-looking game on that system, as both Gears 5 and Forza Horizon 4 are clearly superior.
But as the flagship game they're trying to launch the "most powerful console in existence" with? It just doesn't fill that role at all. All of the major first party PS4 games looked better than this, and the PS5 will look even better.

I see. If you want my honest opinion, I watched the pre-show and show and I don't agree with Mike Minotti. He seems to assume that because of Sea of Thieves which he rapidly mentions. Rare hasn't explained the game and the trailer doesn't show any gameplay. It could be a co-operative game with a solo mode. He deduced the genre from people healing a deer... LOL Too bad "journalists" speculate too much! We'll find out soon, I guess.

Well not many "Western" people are interested in Chibi stuff. I personally think the Chibi style is total garbage. I mean it does not give me ANY incentive to play a game just for that style alone.
I want the game I am playing to have certain meaning to it not just trash cuteness overload.
Also I do not see any reason for you to continue and wait for Xbox to have your preferred style of games.
I loved the art style of everwild, I was hoping in would be a Zeldaesque game. I like artsy games like Journey, but sometimes I wish developers would try to blend it with traditional game mechanics.
Hellblade was great so I'm interested to see what they do with a bigger budget.
@Wargoose@Ralizah No, it's assumed by a guy on venturebeat.com. Rare hasn't explained or showed any gameplay yet so we still don't know the genre or if Everwild has a solo mode.
@kkslider5552000 I am not a big Halo fan, I have only played Halo CE this far but I don't get why so much negativity towards Halo Infinite. Some people say it's the art style. Microsoft said it's work in progress and I'm confident that the game will look great on Series X (HDR 4K).
@BlueOcean Weird. I know Sea of Thieves is multiplayer, but nothing about the trailers for Everwild screams mp to me. I mean, I could see it being there, but the impression I got was of more of an atmospheric solo experience.
Big gaming journalism fail if he really is just pulling this out of his, well, you know.
I wonder what's next for JRPGs on Xbox. In the space of 2 years getting the originally Sony exclusive Final Fantasy games, the entire Kingdom Hearts franchise and Dragon Quest XI S is impressive.
