True Demon, since that involved a fun extra dungeon, @Ralizah .... Is that the 'best' one?

I’ve also just beaten Nocturne, it was fantastic. I can’t believe I held off so long playing it.

A week or so ago I thought I was near the end but getting the True Demon Ending was really challenging and took a while with the extra dungeon. I thought the ending was refreshingly and hilariously short given the effort involved.

I played the Raidou version as I love his character. Is anyone doing a Dante playthrough?

I’ll be keeping my eye on Monark.

I’ve just started FFXII to keep the PS2 remaster train rolling.

@JoeDiddley I'm doing Raidou first since I've never played the Chronicle version of Nocturne

The fight is just as difficult though lol

I just saw a screenshot on the website of Seth flying overhead while the protagonist was running outside battles

There's gonna be demons just roaming in the overworld. YES

Demons in the overworld were the next logical step for this series.

This is SUCH an evolution.

Listening to the battle theme closer you can definitely tell it's the SMT IV composer. There are motifs and musical cues lifted straight from that game as well

thought it was a chick the whole time lmao

Ralizah

Yeah, it's clearly the same composer. Which is good. IV/IV: Apocalypse > Nocturne when it comes to music.

Curious to see what the new demons look like.

@Ralizah "IV/IV: Apocalypse > Nocturne when it comes to music" and i thought my takes were hot

TheFrenchiestFry

@boop23 Honestly I agree

I love Nocturne's OST but SMT IV is straight up Ragnarok with Fire Amp and Mind Charge

While I do think SMT IV's OST is better overall, IV: Apocalypse's music still blows Nocturne out of the water. Then again, I also thought the DDS games had underwhelming scores.

Nocturne's OST is good, don't get me wrong. But Meguro does better work with Persona.

@Aozz101x I doubt it'll disappear from the eshop any time soon, although I guess it's always possible. I'm just glad I picked up most of the 3DS SMT games before the prices exploded.

But yes, get IV: Apocalypse/IV Final, especially if you've already played IV. It's an awesome experience.
