Special editions are a total lottery in Australia. On the rare occasions you can get them without resorting to importing they never make enough of them and the prices get ludicrously inflated compared to other regions.
I can't believe the new trailer actually made it to trending on YouTube. Maybe it happened in the past but I don't recall that ever happening to a Xenoblade trailer before 😅
Out of curiosity how well do you guys think this game will end up selling?
I don't think it'll do better than Xenoblade 2 but I think it might do better than Xenoblade Definitive Edition.
@Vortexeo I could honestly see it doing better than Xenoblade 2, if only because BotW isn't releasing this year, making this the biggest Nintendo release of the year.

@Kaioken With just recommendations, I'd highly recommend playing 1 and 2 before 3, mainly because 3 pulls a lot from those two games in terms of themes, characters, etc. However, apparently despite that, this game is supposed to be stand-alone, able to be played without playing the other two.

@Kaioken I’m my honest opinion I think you should play both 1 and 2, in that order. I think you’d be able to play 3 without knowing what happens in 1 and 2 but IMO both games are fantastic experiences that shouldn’t be invalidated because of the arrival of a new game.
Xenoblade isn’t like Final Fantasy or Fire Emblem though, the games are connected in many ways. The box art for 3 has elements from both 1 and 2 after all.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 looks great, my question is would it be a good start point for someone who knows nothing about Xenoblade. (I do know who Shulk and Pyra/Mythra are I main them in smash)
@Kermit1 I mean, apparently it's stand-alone, but if you're just starting out and only know it because of smash, it's probably best to start with the first game and play it in order: Xenoblade Chronicles -> Future Connected Epilogue -> Xenoblade 2 -> Torna The Golden Country -> Xenoblade 3.
I wouldn't just dive into 3, since from the trailers it really seems like something people would get the most out of if they played the other games in the series. It reuses a ton of ideas from both 1 and 2, and some of the characters from those two games also return in 3.
