Topic: Xenoblade Chronicles 3

With LIVE A LIVE, Fire Emblem Warriors, Advance Wars (surely) on the horizon, plus games I haven't even gotten yet (Triangle Strategy, Kirby)... I'm spoiled for choice.

I'm worried I'd have to be super picky. For once that isn't a bad thing.

@Vortexeo I really hope that's the case. It was the only thing that bogged down 2's combat for me, other than the forced gacha.

After feverishly refreshing AmazonNA in search of the special edition, I hadn't realized. The special edition is to be a My Store exclusive in Murica. Which doesn't speak to how the SE will be distributed in Europe or Japan, but I guess I can stop refreshing Amazon.

@Magician Yep. I wonder if that's a good thing or not. Part of me thinks it could be, given that it'll mean that Nintendo can limit people from buying too many at one time, but part of me is worried that they won't deliver to my state.

@Vortexeo They have the persona 5 cut-in animations! Also, the world looks absolutely massive in this game, more seamless than in 1 and 2.

@Magician I'm dreading it as well. I hope they just limit it to one per customer since I'm paranoid about bots running rampant with it.

@ElRoberico I'm kind of hoping they do a system where it's ordering by a specific date, and they'll just manufacture the orders they've received. I know it probably won't be like that though. Hopefully they'll just limit it to one per customer, like you said.

@VoidofLight Ikr! The Interlinks also really remind me of the legions in astral chain!

@VoidofLight Limited Run does that, and I love it so much. It's so easy, and there's no big FOMO with it like there is when there are scalpers involved.

@Vortexeo The ouroboros interlinks pretty much feel like the mechs you had in Xenogears. Makes me wonder if this is really supposed to be part 5 of Perfect Works.

@ElRoberico I wish more companies would adopt that method. This is the first and only game I want to get a collector's edition of, given how much I love this series, and it'll be disappointing if I ended up missing it.

@VoidofLight I never actually played Xenogears before. I was planning on starting it after I finish Final Fantasy VIII which I'm playing right now. Do you think I could finish Xenogears before Xenoblade 3 releases? 😅

@Vortexeo I have no clue admittedly. I never played Xenogears myself, and while I wanted to, I don't have the option at the moment.

Hey can you show me where you found this? Been looking all over and can't find a statement stating this.

@iLikeUrAttitude It was on the official European site I think. It details that the 7th party member is one that changes constantly through the game, and then Japanese gameplay clips show off the nopon in battle, acting as one character.

@VoidofLight Did you mean part of the site and came to that conclusion?

"Like in previous Xenoblade Chronicles games, battles start by facing enemies directly in the overworld. With six characters in your party, you’ll need to use each soldier’s strengths to your advantage, taking into account their position relative to the enemy. Characters you befriend on your adventure can also join you in battle, further increasing your strategic capabilities."

At this rate I'm almost expecting the not-E3 Direct to happen in June and them to be like "JK ITS OUT TODAY".

@iLikeUrAttitude Yeah, that's effectively where it came from. That, and the fact that it seems to switch often in the trailer.

I noticed the chain attack initiation animation looked much flashier in the trailer.

They've definitely taken some notes from P5.

@VoidofLight I've bought many a limited edition in my day, and it breaks my heart how more difficult they've become to get. They're either insanely expensive, impossible to get, or both. $100US used to be the norm, and now it seems to be like $150US.
