But I do know that some of the requirements on the affinity skill tree are putting Pyra's favorite drink in her pouch X amount of times.

This isn't just for blades. This is for Rex. For Nia. For the main characters. Blades included. Blades are people just like Drivers.

@JTMnM Same problem here, and same fix! Chapter 4 man...Made me realize two things. Tora, and all tanks in this game, are the most beautiful thing in this game, and AI Nia isn't the best healer. the lack of Tora made getting to the boss even harder than the boss itself.
Have you beat Chapter 4? The end of it really started to drag for me. Having to grind for Poppi's super strength field skill did't help with that, and waiting 30 min because of not having Poppi's Nopon wisdom 3.

The rare blades are cool looking, but I hope the commons eventually have some level of variety to them. They all look like some random alien enemy from Halo. Hard to tell apart until I look at their weapon.

By the way, is there ever a reason to just use one booster when opening a core crystal, or should I wait until I have five?

The boss battle and ending cinematic for chapter 2 were insanely cool. I really liked Rex's strategy. Way better than my amateur driver just randomly beating Morag, who is apparently the strongest driver in Mor Ardain.

Is there any method to sheathe your weapon and run after you engage an enemy? It looks pretty stupid for Rex to slowly waddle off in the opposite direction with his sword drawn long enough to disengage the enemy.

@Ralizah You can start an escape by holding R and pressing B. They teach it at the very beginning of the game but it's just one textbox of many. There really should be an option to view earlier tutorials.

I've got a boatload of screenshots from this game. I wish there was some kind of multiple upload option for Twitter so that you can access all your photos easily. I made a Gaming account just for the Nintendo switch for screenshots and friend invites. But there are just too many to post.

I saw somebody wrote a program that takes your screenshots off your SD card and organizes them and renames them and dates them according to when they were taken, and then places in folders by game... I tried it out when I was swapping SD cards and it did work; the problem was the game list is not fully updated so 2 of the 4 games on that initial SD card weren't recognized and were thus ignored. Monster Hunter XX demo and Splatoon Testfire. I wonder if they updated the game list for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It's just too much work pulling your pictures out of the individual folders, which are a separate folder for every month and then a separate folder for every day inside each of the month folders, so today would have a 12 folder and then a 4 folder inside that, and then screenshots randomly named placed inside of it from whatever games you snapped them from.

Am I the only one who doesn’t hate handheld mode like the rest of the community does (for XB2). Like it doesn’t look terrible or run badly for me, if I didn’t have the game I would’ve thought it was a nightmare to play but it’s actually quite decent on handheld for me

Pyra could probably stand to show slightly less skin, but I still think her basic design is really cute.

I'm also really warming to her English voice actress.

@nikoamii How far are you in the game? The resolution dips to sub-PS Vita resolution when you're running around giant, open areas. It's not unplayable, but it does rob the game of some of its beauty.

It's a shame my paranoia about the game's visual performance was (mostly) justified as this is otherwise the most fun I've had with my Switch since Breath of the Wild. Oh well.

I’m growing to love this game, everyone but Rex I’m loving. Rex’s voice actor sounds like he’s trying 5 different accents at once it’s a mess but it kinda makes me laugh so it’s not horrible. So far the world is interesting and I’m liking it. Only 2 hours in though so... can’t preach too much yet but I’m excited

@nikoamii Yeah, keep playing. You'll see what we mean about the game's resolution in handheld mode once you hit Garanti Plain.

I like Rex's voice, but his battle cries are really pitiful.

I played 7 hours in tabletop and generally speaking, it looks fine.

But I learned once I got into the game a little ways that it does indeed have drops, very low drops. The thing is, they're just not evident right away. When I first fired up the game I thought it looked great.

You'll see for yourself once you play enough of the game. It's still playable and I was having a blast (and, it's not all the time, thankfully) but it is unfortunate and let's hope they patch it up a bit in the future.

The Pro Controller is slick as heck. Up til now I've played with split joycon, but this controller looks so nice I can't help but play with it.

Ah I see. Yeah I’m not into a big world yet, I’m still on that dang ship ahah. I’m nervous now but still excited. Pyra already looks like a gay icon and I’m ready to work with her, a legend! I love designs like hers!!! Icon! Legend! Queen!

Also when can you change who your main character is? I saw it’s an option but I’m not allowed to switch out of rex yet. I want to be pyra or another cool girl soon

@nikoamii Once other drivers join your party, you can change your controlling character. You'll gain two more drivers by the end of chapter 2.

Yayyyy!!! Sounds great. I can’t wait. I love how many blades their seems to be, people on reddit complained about the combat system but Xenoblade’s combat system is one of my favorites of any franchise. It’s so interesting, hectic, and fun. I loved XCX. Thank you all for your help, I’m so excited to really jump into this game this winter

@nikoamii The battle system is actually pretty fantastic: my favorite in the series so far. And it gets better as you learn about/set up for combos, execute chain attacks, get more party members, etc. I have a love/hate relationship with other games in the series, but I'm really digging this entry so far (other than the fact that it could probably have used another month or two of polishing before release).

@JaxonH I hope when that patch hits, they add a few voiced lines for imperial soldiers. Because, currently...

etc. I was almost tempted to turn off battle chatter, which would have been a shame, as I love the way these people endlessly gab in battle.

@JaxonH I can write you a program which sorts pictures and puts them to different folder according to the game if you want. I can make it in a way that it doesn't ignore pictures and makes a new folder for them which you can then rename and it knows to put pictures from the same game there when you got new images. Shouldn't take more than few hours.
