New Monolith Soft RPG. New Xenoblade! Looks awesome!

Well this and Mario guaranteed I'll be buying the console then!

I loved how you could tell it was a sequel to Chronicles. Similar visual style and setting.

Nintendo's tweet points out that it's "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" not "Xenoblade 2" btw. I assume that was just different because we'd seen the japanese version:

@Dezzy Got bored after playing the Wii game, and never played the Wii U one (looked terrible IMO), but this looks a lot better I think. Might consider it when and if I get the Switch.

Wow does this look cool, but I need to play the other two before I even dream of playing this one. The visuals looked very nice, and that modified Monado...wow!

ALSO THEY FINALLY FIGURED OUT TO MAKE THE CHARACTER MODELs STYLIZED AND CUTER, THANK GOD. Stop trying to take anime characters seriously, Xenoblade art designer. This is much better.

Yep. 3rd attempt and they managed to finally design anime characters. Knew they'd get there in the end.

Meh, I take it I'm the only one not impressed by the new art style then.

Go look at Xenoblade X's character models again then. This might as well be going from OOT to Wind Waker in terms of character models.

I'm guessing this is a sequel to the original rather than X?

The art style looks so generic to me. It's like they went full anime.

I was wondering that. Although I've beaten Xenoblade Chronicles U myself, I'd heard people were expecting a continuation of the Miran story.

As for the character style, it certainly looks cleaner than the original Xenoblade (for obvious reasons), and less uncanny than the po faced ones in Xenoblade Chronicles X (for less obvious reasons), but the second the male (supposed) protagonist was shown, I did wince a little. Peronally, I think they look a little too animé. I actually prefer the Wii original style.

The way it looks keeps reminding me of a 90's Playstation JRPG.

It's not even the deigns alone, it's way the angle of the camera in the market/street scene screams 90's playstation JRPG.

Yeah I wanted a continuation of X, the ending was such a tease.

Its great we get a new Monolith Game, but I wanted a sequel to XCX and more Skells...

Maybe it'll be a sequel to both!

Oh man, you gotta play X! I never understood the people who said they didn't like it, it was and still is one of the greatest our JRPGs I've ever played. No video game to date has ever and still the sense of awe that I felt when I was exploring Mira. And that awe didn't go away all 600 hours. It was just the most amazing and strange and foreign an alien and beautiful world I've ever had the pleasure of exploring.

This game looks dope though. Xenoblade doesn't get the cred it deserves.
