@IceClimbers
So it's one time only? Not mandated online every time? Oh good...
@Gamer83
Mario Maker 2, God Eater 3, Dragon Quest Builders 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Fire Emblem, DOOM 1, 2 and 3, Mighty Switchforce Collection, Pillars of Eternity... and that's just within a few weeks timespan.
We still have Astral Chain, Dragon Quest XI S, Spyro Trilogy, Ni No Kuni, Oninaki, Daemon X Machina, Zelda Link's Awakening, Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokemon, Monkey Ball, Atelier Ryza, DOOM Eternal, Darksiders Genesid, Town, Pillars of Eternity 2, The Witcher 3, Samurai Showdown, Final Fantasy VIII and Crystal Chronicles, Panzer Dragoon, Alien Isolation, Contra, Torchlight 2, Yooka Laylee 2D game... and more!
It's a really great year for Switch and hybrid gaming in general. I dont recall 3DS ever having a year this good.
But no Fire Emblem for you? I really, really recommend this game. It's so good. If you ever played Awakening on 3DS... it's way better than that even.

This hectic game schedule really doesn't stop until December, which aside from Neverwinter Nights is quiet. Too quiet. I'm sort of scared about a possible September Direct filling in the gaps between the quiet December and Animal Crossing in March next year. December would be perfect for The Witcher 3, about a month after folks have had their fill of Pokémon S/S.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,537 games (as of December 22nd, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
Unrelated but i guess it's not since its coming to switch. I wonder how long " animal fight club" the game will be on switch before it gets pulled down. The name alone, I'm surprised it's being released
I honestly could see December having Darksiders Genesis and Panzer Dragoon. Would be a great month for those, especially the latter considering the overall lack of releases that month.
August is rather empty until the end of the month. That said, August is usually Nindies announcement month with one set of announcements before Gamescom and another set of announcements before PAX West so maybe stuff like King of Cards comes that month.
Im glad August is slow(er). We still have some Indies coming that month I'll be getting. Plus all the June and July stuff is bogging me down. So a little breather is welcomed
Not hearing the best feedback about Wolfenstein. I thought it would look even better than Wolf 2 post-patch, but apparently it doesn’t. Better than initial release but not as good as post patch. Also hearing just a bunch of bummers. Like the structure of the game and losing ammo after restarting a checkpoint... Idk. Doesn’t seem nearly as good as Wolf 2, which already was a step down from New Order. That sucks.
I still have confidence in DOOM Eternal though. They’ve been working on that game forever and it’s a much higher budget, marketed title. And they know it’s going to sell a lot better too, meaning more effort. Plus it’s just going to be a better game, so...
I would give some personal feedback about Wolf, but there’s no possible way I’m going to stop playing Fire Emblem any time soon.
Btw, no gyro for DOOM 1-3? Should hit their Twitter about that. It’s the least they could do for forcing you to sign up for a Bethesda.net account the first time you Fire it up

That stinks about wolf I bought it hoping to enjoy my first wolf game. Oh well at least it was a budget release and who knows maybe I'll enjoy it. If not there's always doom 3 i guess
@Magician Hold on, Doom Eternal was confirmed coming to Switch at launch? Last I heard we didn't know when it was releasing on Switch. Ugh... I might honestly get that instead of Pokemon then... that's a weird statement to say.
@NintendoByNature
I don’t think the consensus is it’s a bad game, just... not a great game. New Order set the bar so incredibly high (honestly that was probably the best FPS I’ve ever played in my life- the only one that could possibly come close is DOOM 2016). Wolf 2 was really good, but there was a noticeable drop in quality from the previous game, and apparently there is a substantial drop again with this one. A lot of that here comes from the mission structure and the more open-ish world design, co-op focus, leveling enemies, and just all-around unspectacular impressions on Switch ( I don’t understand how they didn’t at least make the game look as good as Wolf2 post-patch, Panic Button kills me sometimes).
Thankfully because the bar was set so high that even after two subsequent drops in quality, you still have a good game. It’s just a shame because it should be an absolute must have every time a Wolf game drops. They must’ve changed teams or something.
@JaxonH
I respect what the devs have done with the Fire Emblem series but, like with Dragon Quest and old school FF, I can't get into the games because I'm not big on turn based gameplay. The only recent exceptions I can think of are Lara Croft Go and Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu (my first Pokemon game, I was waiting until the day we had one on a home console and Switch is as close as we'll get). But both those had really simplified systems.
