Brilliant, brilliant game with a terrible, terrible box-art!

You look at the beautiful covers for The Legend of Zelda games, then take a quick glance at the dour Super Mario 3D World cover and think, 'were both of these great games really made by the very same company?'.

I was being sarcastic, lol. People were convinced the MK8D bundle was fake because it was Photoshopped, so that's what I was referencing in that comment.

Sarcasm is all I have left at this point. Literally Nintendo said the Direct will cover Splatoon 2, ARMS, and some other games. The Direct did exactly that (and revealed some pretty cool games along the way as well as some nice surprises in terms of dates - remember when a lot of us thought Splatoon 2 would be late August or September?), and people are still dumping on it.

I say this every time, but I just need to avoid the more major media outlets. Those comment sections just keep pulling me back in. I can't look away from the stupidity and utmost worst of humanity for some reason.

I do have to praise them for their splatoon coverage. Although it was shorter than I expected, they did a great job showing us how the game differentiates from the original. Myself included, people said it looked too similar to the original. If they had just shown another new stage, nothing would have changed, but they were smart to show off this brand new exclusive cooperative non competitive mode to really make the game feel brand new.

So, another coworker decided to buy a Switch today. This is in addition to the other coworker who cancelled his PS4 order and bought one after he heard Skyrim was coming and would be portable, and after seeing Zelda trailer. The guy today asked me to find him one, and offered to pay the money up front.

We were playing some multiplayer Fast RMX in tabletop mode, which he really loves and he's been seeing me play Zelda every day and wants it too. Plus he just really loves the whole concept. But anyways while we were playing another coworker walked in, and started asking how much it cost- told him $300 and he said "oh that's not bad". The exact same thing every other person has said who asked that question. Then he asked me if the graphics were better than Wii- I was like look and see for yourself- we're playing right now, but yes it's miles beyond the Wii.

So in one month since release I can confirm two coworkers who are buying or have already bought Switch who weren't really Nintendo gamers before. And I can confirm a third who bought one for his niece, 2 more who were talking about buying one (but I don't know if they did cause they work in the North plant), and another 3 who have asked me questions like how much it cost.

And my brother who works at the Sun Prairie plant says that everyone he works with wants one now after seeing his.

All those people who were saying this system is going to fail.... saying it was gonna tank more than Wii U... just shows people speak out of wishful thinking more often than from intelligent analysis

@JaxonH Lucky. My coworkers are cheep cheep but keep "stopping by" when I play mine on break....

Crazy how they sold more BotW for Switch than they did actual Switches. I guess people who couldn't get their hands on a Switch bought Zelda anyways so they would have it when they finally got a Switch.

Overall this is delightful news! Lets hope this success continues all year!
