If they go out in a puff of smoke and leave behind perfectly clean and edible-looking cuts of meat, it's ok.
The last battle againt Ganon, you're low on hearts and you've fought your way through three different forms of Ganon already. He's in his last form. You take out your hero's bow, shoot a light arrow; POOF! A purple puff of smoke appears and all that's left are two pieces of Ganon steak.
I've always found it entertaining that ratings on modern media are less lax than they were back in the 80s/90s. There's no way Ghostbusters would have gotten away with a PG rating by today's standards.
Personally, as long as the blood isn't excessive (like in Mortal Kombat)/is within reasonable constraints of an injury, I don't mind it and don't think it should have much bearing on the rating. I mean, if you injure a mammal, bird, reptile, amphibian, etc., it's going to bleed. The method of shoot something ----> smoke poof ---> instant steak/meat seems sort of silly. I feel that there should at least be some type of speedy skinning involved.
Granted, this could be because I grew up on a farm and don't mind this kind of thing.

You joke, but it's not like Nintendo can pull this and get away with an E for Everyone again. They'll have to tone it down to keep pace with their rating and target audience. People complain about 14-year-olds in Bravely Default being made to wear clothes, but this is Nintendo's real challenge to their own artistic license.

No, it's not just you. A farm, the environment, nature: that's real life. Ratings are a Judeo-Christian attempt to make real life conform to their moralizing preconceptions. I don't mind the 'poof' thing really: It's quicker for looting and the enemy death animation looks really cool with the purple embers and all. I just don't like how it might make them hamstring the dramatic stakes just like in Skyward Sword.
I wonder how we'll get up to the City in the Sky. Will we see the return of Loftwings, perhaps, or will we have to "light the biggest fire the north has ever seen" and ride the updraft?
This reminds me of the time I nicknamed my Tepig Ganonpork....
"Get your fresh Ganonpork! Oozing with power, saturated with evil, and basted with light arrows! These fine cuts were made by the one and only Master Sword! Get it now while it's fresh!"
...It's been a long day.
In all seriousness, I find the hint that the technology in Hyrule may have been its own undoing intriguing. That seems to add to the dystopian elements shown so far.

@Haru17 I don't think Nintendo wants to put naked women in their main Zelda series. In a spin-off, like Hyrule Warriors, they can get away with more things than in their main series, but they didn't have fully naked women in HW either lol
But it probably would have been easy to add a small shirt of something to the Female version of Link, better than just having hair to cover up with lol

No, but the boob hair thing has been done so many times it's not even funny. Or difficult, lol. Just don't animate the hair. Or do the shirt thing. People make these mountains out of molehills and they're just going to get kicked down.
I think it's pretty safe to assume that in the alternate universe where the game has the option of playing as a female link, her "naked" state includes a top.

Just the same way male Link has shorts glued on.
How much must that suck, though? I can't imagine wearing shorts while cryogenically / magitechically frozen for a century would be great for your skin. In Fallout 4 it's a stretch the baby didn't just croak and, moreover, that the metal wedding rings on the characters' fingers didn't give them profound and de-digitizing freezerburn.
Really, gaming devs. Get your cryotech physics sorted out.
I can't help but think all this out cry about Nintendo's response to not having a playable Female Character, is because Nintendo tried prepared actual reasons for not having a Female Character rather than just saying, "Link has always been male and we continued with tradition." Or "We didn't want to." Instead they got some PR wording to say to try to make a reason for there not being a playable Female Character, which always ends badly and I think Nintendo constant falls into those traps.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
"Gee, I really don't think they could have gotten that opening scene to work with a girl."
I know. Everyone knows girls only wear those shorts if they're sleeping at their boyfriends house.
And they never sleep at their boyfriend's house for 100 years while the kingdom is plunged into chaos.
