@Randomname19: Imagine if you're in a big town and all the people come up to you to tell you your Gamepad's running out of battery.

@Grumblevolcano: Imagine not understanding a word they were saying and you had to pay attention to them pointing at stuff or doing stuff that would foreshadow later events...and slowly you learn keywords to help your quest later.

Imagine me killing myself, then kill me.

Anyway, I think voice actors out of the anime space would feel out of place for Link. Even Troy Baker would just feel weird. Bosch or Lowenthal could work, though (just imagine them saying 'hyaaah!'). Some talented unknown would be perfect, but that would also require perfect casting.

No one's brought up how having a sex select option would double the amount of voice work needed for Link, though. That's probably the biggest thing that would prevent him from being voiced.

@Haru17: They could just have Link voiced like a Miitomo! You could even type in responses hahaha. (joking obviously!)

@Randomname19:

By that standard, we already have voice acting!

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

Same. I also like having a backup in case I can't hear the voice acting for various reasons, whether it be outside interference, in-game action blocking the voices, or if the voice acting is just bad and the characters are mumbling.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

@Dezzy: No,most characters are silent or just laugh, scream or say the first world of their dialogue. The don't spike the whole time in gibberish like Midna and Fi.

That brings me flashbacks of Sonic Adventure 2.

If they want this to be a different kinda Zelda then they really need to stop showing the same idyllic grassy plain shot from every RPG ever.

For the E3 trailer just start someplace crazy: like with fire. Start in a room where EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE!!! You know what I mean, just some completely alien, hostile dungeon environment that Link has to work his way out of.

The E3 2016 Zelda U trailer will be just the November 2015 Direct snippet

@Haru17: A dungeon environment doesn't really sell the audience 'open world'. In fact, it would convey the exact opposite message lol! 'Closed, claustrophobic rooms...on fire!!' Hehe, call them crazy, but I am sure they will want to highlight the content they are most proud of...and so far...erm...that means grass...oh dear...ahem. It is very good grass though. A lot better than Xenoblade's or Witcher's.

By virtue of not being completely #&@*? Hopefully.

And I don't really care if they sell the open world or not. They need to sell something actually substantive about the game; not how much grass you can step on and trees you can walk by.

When they do show the open world make it something crazy and different, like a desert or a thick wood. There's just altogether too much nothing ATM.

@Haru17: Well, there was that ''densely wooded area''

Literally all of Aonuma's quotes.

Stop making cryptically aggressive posts and go read them, Martin.

huh? what are you saying came from aonuma's quotes? what i was pointing out is that those samey RPG shots were made what they are by Zelda, so why would Zelda stop doing what Zelda pioneered? if anything the copycats should find their own method of showing their worlds?

I was talking about the notion that Zelda U was going to be different, as I though that was what your cryptic post was referring to. Therein lies the problem with vague statements.

Anyway, grassy river valley scenes in pop culture weren't started by Zelda. For starters that kind of vista has been (I think) scientifically proven to be literally in our DNA. As in as humans evolved an attraction to lush river valleys was selected for (which makes sense—or at least used to—if you think about it).

That's not to say that the green landscape shot for marketing an RPG or open world game wasn't popularized by Zelda, but you could hardley call it the originator. This imagery is a human thing.

For reference, here's a scene from the 1977 movie, The Hobbit:

Funny how Xenoblade Chronicles X needed the Mass Effect treatment... but Zelda U is getting it.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!
