@meleebrawler The armour definitely a bigger factor, but hearts obviously play a role too. My main point was that if you're finding the main mode too easy, but also throwing all your Spirit Orbs into heart containers rather than stamina, then there's quite an easy fix for that. I don't like artificially ramping up the difficulty in games with artibtrary 'prentend' rules (for example, I've never got into Nuzlocke), but this seems quite a natural way to use your spirit pecs without making the game feel too easy.

Anyway, I'm quite curious about the bird man challenge so I'll watch the video.

Arrows striking ore veins create sparks, whereas ones striking Link's (and I assume enemies') shield do not. This suggests to me that shields are not 'metal' in the game systems, they simply have the 'metal' tag that attracts lightning. Not sure exactly, especially when you bring in swords which at least create sparks when hitting something else. Maybe someone could test the conductivity and sparking properties of metal gear? I don't know. I wouldn't imagine bows would do much when just lying on the ground.

I've been thinking about this since my first days with the game, but climbing is just a bit jank. Gliding into a cliffside sideways and Link not grabbing onto it sucks. Putting away the paraglider in that exact same situation and not catching onto the cliff until Link has slid all the way down to the bottom of it sucks.

Climbing onto windmill blades and moving objects is great, but holding on is finicky and impossible, which sucks! There is also no way to climb onto the boulders found commonly in the world, as Link can only push them — a downgrade from certain 1998 games. It's also just way too easy to slip off the edge of something like a wooden ruin or tree branch, with no recourse to grab back on before Link falls fifty feet to his death.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

There's a cool reference to Oot found in Falco...eh I mean Rito village! One of the children says something like: "Maybe I should give the divine beast some fish. But what if he swallows me instead?" Ruto and Lord Jabu Jabu right there. Makes sense since in Windwaker, the Rito evolved from the Zora!

Rito zone is really little. In less than 2 hrs i explored it all but the village, that i'll save for another play session with the Divine Beast (maybe). Did some Shrines, one with the wind was really long and fun to do. Near a Shrine i found a memory, number 5, where Zelda get angry at Link because he just followed her

Guys i need a little help for a Shrine that i could not get. If you did not reach the Rito Zone don't open the spoiler: on the west side of the zone there are 5 rocks in circle with a hole in the middle, and the Shrine right in the center. I noticed that the stones are kind of numbered on top of them, but i did not get how to activate them. How can i?

@FGPackers Anytime you see one of those platforms, it is connected to a shrine quest. Most of them are started elsewhere in the world.

@Haru17 I guess it's in Rito Village. I'll go for it next time. Thank you!

Hey , does anybody know where the location of the Forest Dweller's Bow is? I want to get more of these but I can't seem to find them. And when you repeat the trial where you can get the bow, it gets taken away from you in the end. Any ideas?

take a picture of the bow for the hyrule compendium during the trial, it will tellvwhat areas it can be found in, and you can set it as the target of the sensor.

Anyone know of a good way to find bokoblin guts? Trying to upgrade my soldiers armor "just because" but I end up finding tons bokoblins that leave nothing but horns and the like.

Also darne those stupid Yiga Swordmasters....they're showing up everywhere and are a pain in the rear to take down.

Impressive stuff!

Still only gets a hundred rupees, eh? Lol

I actually found that interesting. I guess he had to have plenty of fire arrows too for when it rains. And it was perfect the way the sun rose at the end.

Also, metal shields are magnetic. You can use magnesis on them.

@Octane Thanks! I forgot half those stores.

@Tsurii Yeah, at this point I have 13 hearts (some unspent orbs) and I'm using the once-upgraded tunic. So not too good on the way of defense. Looks like I can get to L3 on my snow set. Might help armor-wise. I'm still a bit short on money but hate to sell too much in the way of monster parts. I already sold off a bunch to Kilton because those darn monster masks are so darn fun to just wander right through enemy camps and grab the unlocked chest contents while they just follow me around.

And farming guardians doesn't seem to yield nearly as much cash as I'd been led to believe....looks like mining or bust.

Yeah those silver enemies are brutal to deal with especially in groups. I've still been avoiding them (and hinox, and lynel in general.)

I remember the time I took on a camp of two silver bokoblins and 1 silver electric lizalfos with only 5 hearts and a warm doublet. Took like 20 tries for an hour

The reward for completing all the shrines is kinda stupid IMO...

Trying to upgrade my fav armors to the max now, got the Hylian tunic set done, so anyone really use Wolf Lonk? used him when I went hunting Bokoblins and he went in and did the job like a champ!, even with max hearts, it's alright he didn't die this time.

I used to use him quite a bit, but not really using my amiibos anywhere near as much as I intended to. (I really should though, because some of them every now and again give you rare weapons and costume items). Wolf link, while he doesn't spawn all the rare items, can be really helpful when you've got lots of enemies about, as instead of having to waste lots of arrows from above, you can just wade in on foot and slaughter them with your hand weapons, even if the enemies are in big groups, and wolf link just takes care of most of them, so lets you concentrate at two or three at a time. (Not really so much of an issue though once you get more heart containers) but at the beginning of the game when I only had a few hearts against tougher enemies, I did definitely find wolf link useful.

@Octane Ya, pretty late to get it, and I think it does't look good.
@GoronBrudda Yep, I remember bringing him out to a canyon, he died within a minute from the monsters, and he had as much hearts as he could hold, you on't need him as much late game, but still fun to use at times.
