@Operative2-0 do you parry? You shouldn't be running through shields like that...

@Ryu_Niiyama nah it's the weapons I run through easily. Shields are long lasting enough for me

That stealth part to collect the arrows with the Lynel patrolling was seriously tense. That was one of my favourite parts so far, loved it.

@OorWullie That's one of the fun parts of this game, I confronted the Lynel and defeated it. Which has cost me a lot btw. It was only afterwards I realized I might have been able to sneak past him and grab the arrows like that. 2 very different experiences lol.

Sad to have missed it. My experience was totally different, in that by the time I had reached that part of the game, I already had 22 shock arrows.

@Nicolai I had something like 30, but hey, free shock arrows. They don't come cheap in shops. So I ended getting mauled several times on a completely unnecessary stealth quest. And it was awesome.

@Maxz I eventually made my way up there to do a side quest where you have to take a picture of the beast. That was a lot of fun :3

I just had to go and kill that Lynel on Ploymus Mountain to get revenge for another Lynel that killed me. It may not have been the same Lynel, but well.... that's a small detail.

Now I feel ready to take on any more that come my way. Bring it on!

@Maxz The weapon triangle bit was me. It's not always so cut and dry, of course, for example you may keep a club-toting Moblin at bay with your spear, but then his one-hander Boko buddies just take the opportunity to flank you with their speed.

I just fought and freed the ice dragon Naydra (which sounds way too much like a Pokemon name). The dragon itself isn't particularly difficult, but it is exciting chasing it down with your glider, and the area does restrict you from giving yourself too much of an advantage with food, had to make do with quickly eating energizing meals in midair before splattering on the ground. Then Hylia told me to shoot it one last time and was like "...what? I go to all this trouble to help it and now you want me risk angering it again?"

@meleebrawler Haha, yes, I had the same reaction. Everything is finally peaceful and resolved, and then... you want me to do what now? I suppose it teaches you something about how to handle its brethren.

Weird...I must've done something wrong then. I was sure I tried shooting the ice lizalfos with fire arrows. Maybe my brain just farted and I picked bomb arrows. Wouldn't be the first time ("hurr durr, I'ma burn dem spike palisades" shoots at point blank range, flies off cliff)

Should mention that the message talking about elemental one-shots says that they MAY do so, so perhaps it does not happen every time. Did your enemy at least catch on fire when you shot it?

Just finished the Forgotten Temple challenge. 11 guardians in a row: brutal. I bagged two at the same time with the shield parry though which felt pretty sweet. Hope I collected everything before I left as I'm not going back in a hurry.

I've given up farming for gems when needing cash. Jelly hunting is much easier. Chuchus are everywhere, don't damage your weapons very much and their jelly drops are pretty handy. They can be used as bombs (fire, ice or electric), or sold for 10 rupees apiece when upgraded (the standard jellies are worth 5 rupees). Considering each Chuchu usually drops 5 jellies (50 rupees) and they mostly attack in twos or threes, farming them is an easy way to make money.

@Meowpheel I don't think I've met him yet (and I've covered most of the map). Without giving away spoilers, where is he? Thanks. I think I'm okay with my jelly supply: got about 300... is that enough?

Without giving away too much, he runs a shop where you exchange monster parts for special currency, and he sells some very nice and expensive things.

You can find him in Akkala.

@Meowpheel Let me guess... Akkala is in the North East - the one place I haven't been to yet. And when you say "monster parts", please don't tell me you mean the boring, easily-obtainable stuff like wings, fangs and horns... because I sold about 600 of those yesterday.

And just like that, my get-rich-quick scheme falls apart...
