Did all of the south Akkala. Got some Korok Seeds and did some Shrines (really nice the weight scale one). Founded the Great Fairy there and upgraded Stealth, Hylia, Armor Hylia sets to 2 stars. Now i'm near a village and then i'll do all north part of the zone. And by the way i managed to destroy the propellers of a flying guardian in a little test. Did not kill it at the end (loaded game), it was just to confirm that the problem before was the rain
I'm struggling with Zelda, i've not played it since the 80's but bought it with the Switch for something to play until other games are released. Is there a map of where to find the other 3 Shrines please? I seem to be going round in circles, i'm also really struggling trying to get a Boar lol. Any help would be really appreciated, thanks.
@Jen10 Climb the tower (or just teleport to it) and look around. You can all see them from the tower, use your Sheikah Scope to mark them on your map (click your right control stick and press A to place markers).
@Joeynator3000 You should put pictures like that in spoilers, that's a pretty big hint. I was lucky to have just found that spot tonight, though.
I've got just one picto-spot left! The one in the forest was really hard to find, but worth it. And I've combed all areas north of the plateau, so time to work on the south! I'm about 80 hours into this game, holy crap!
@Meowpheel - I just did that area yesterday and the "basement" really caught me off guard. I used Stasis+ as well to be safe but I was in no mood to fight and thought they were proximity-based so I figured sneaking to the chest and back would work out.
...It didn't.
After I opened it and checked out the equipment, I was welcomed by four piercing gazes followed up with a Guardian-style lightshow! Instant adrenaline rush and caught off-guard, I ran out with explosion everywhere. What a feeling! After catching my bearings I went back in to deal with them all one at a time for materials. I lost a lot of shields in there but it was worth it.
How much progress have you all made? My Switch tells me I "Played for 105 hours or more". I have finished all the temples and final boss but I did not get all the memories. I completed all the shrines but only got around 50 Korok seeds. My Sheikah Slate tells me I am at 23.4/100%.
@FGPackers Yea, I was freaking out about that because the articles I read said that it took 7 days before the proper activity log showed up. For me it took 9 days.
Hey guys, sorry if somebody already said this at some point in the 570+ pages of the this thread, but what if:
The DLC "MasterQuest" addition lets you replay the game on a harder difficulty as Zelda?!
Edit: By the way, I have not finished the game yet. So if I just said something really stupid in terms of plot, please don't correct me. Just let me keep living in my fantasy world lol
Apparently the time played doesn't display until after 10 days of play. Strange decision, guess it stops people profiles being flooded with games that have been played for 59 mins and they gave up on the game or something? Not sure if it displays this publicly.
Been playing Zelda all week, it's now my main game (Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us Remastered and Dragon Quest Builders will have to wait) and I'm impressed how beaufitul (weather effects and rain bouncing off the ground for example) and detailed this game is, the gameplay is flawless, controlling Link is such a joy. People may mock the Switch for being weaker than the XB1 and PS4 but Nintendo managed to cram so many details into this tiny cart that so many AAA games on the PS4 lack.
The animations are great too, like Beedle getting a fright if a random guy rides past on his horse and he falls back in fright onto his backside. Or throwing a bomb from high up into a crowd of Bokoblins and watch as they look all puzzled, run upto it to investigate before realising what it is and running away, some even kick it around like a ball to get it away. So many nice touches.

As of now i'm at 8. I hope it will change for Friday, when i'll reach the 10th day, if not tomorrow!
@rallydefault Highly doubt it... Doesn't really make sense either, they would have to upend the entire plot, all the cut-scenes and the VA probably too.
@rallydefault In theory yes, but that's not really something I expect Nintendo to do. If they did that, then I'm sure they wanted to overhaul all the plot-related points so it all makes sense.
Personally I don't see the need to. I just want a higher difficulty setting, because I don't think we even got one..
Every time I'm playing Breath of the Wild and I hear the horse music at night, at certain point my mind "switches" gears. I hear a barking dog, than an echoey click, then a driving bassline, followed by the words: "From the moment we met, you could see, I was filled with de-si-yaah!"♫
Does anyone else rewatch trailers way too much to know what i'm talking about?
@Masurao thanks, i'll keep plodding on, i managed to get some fish earlier which i was pleased with, now just need to get the boar without him killing me ..... again lol
No doubt the DLC with the playable character is a prequel, set before Zelda leaves to fight Ganon at the castle. She'll do a dungeon or something. She's literally the only one who can do a dungeon since as far as we know she's the only other person with a sheikah slate, and has her own story going on next to links
