@Haru17 "I already leveled my characters too far on PS4"
I'm going to replicate the character I now have on Pc. I'll use "showracemenu" to make sure he is exactly the same. I'll have to start over again but it is worth it to have him on a Nintendo portable device. He's level 116. A few days ago I begun the main quest. I killed the first dragon with three double fireballs then yesterday I was on Solstheim and I killed another (weak) one using just an iron knife. It felt so good lol. It will take soooooo much time before I'll be able to have so much fun on Switch too lol. But I hope to make it quicker than I did on Pc. I already found out how to make money a lot faster for sure.
Talking about bugs, since yesterday a character in Solstheim is being displayed like she is dead, she's laying on the ground like a normal corpse would do and don't move, except the fact that she walk around, speak and can even sell things if you speak to her! All while still being down on the ground like a corpse. At least she move her lips when she talk. The game must have had a hard time making up its mind if she was killed or not during the attack of a monster, an it hasn't decided yet.
@Zuljaras It has all the DLC, but the assets in game have been stripped to help frame rate (reduction in foliage, low res textures etc...). If portability is important to you, this should be the version to get! Not planning to take it on the go, buy for any other console you own.
@Shellcore my god the foilage, grass and the vegatation was clearly significantly reduced. It looks bad. The wilderness was my favourite part of skyrim.
@Tsurii Whilst there are advantages to the Switch edition, there is nothing to suggest that graphics exceed the original release. In fact, much the opposite as demonstrated in the hands on video. This shouldn't be an issue to Switch gamers as we are accustomed to paying more for less, because...y'know portable.

@Spanjard Strawman. This is a discussion that doesn't take away from the fact that Skyrim is a great game and will also be great on Switch (hopefully).
The best things about Skyrim's nature are the trees and herb-yielding plants which change appearance after you've picked them (the same way Breath of the Wild did gathering 6 years later, if you recall).
That video is a good comparison. Switch version looks pretty great. Visually it's a notch in sharpness down from PS4 with a reduced draw distance before blurring but it looks really good all the same. Of course compared to PC @ 4k it all looks trashy and blurry, so there's that.
Ya, Bethesda themselves confirmed it is indeed the special edition. That is no longer in question.
Obviously not gonna match the PS4 version but, it seems to sit comfortably in between somewhere, certainly a step up from 7th gen but not exactly as good as PS4/X1 either.
This is one of the main reasons I bought my Switch last week. Having a world as big as Skyrim to carry around was too tempting! Thinking of rolling a pure mage this time. I always rely heavily on stealth normally but fancy a change.
Switch: Dragon Quest Builders 2, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Valkyria Chronicles, Shin Megami Tensei
PC: Farming Simulator 22
It's an amazing system. Even now, 8 months later, I'm still every bit as infatuated as I was day one. The thrill never dies. In fact, the more games that release for it the more I love it!
