My 2 biggest problems with this game is whether to buy the Switch or PS4 releases (my cousin overseas more likely to get on PS4; I’ll likely get both) or whether to play Turtles in Time with him (we played so much back in the day) or introduce him to Hyperstone Heist).
@FragRed I think there was a crossed wire (I had to double read the post); the Arcade Turtles in Time had a 4-player cabinet while the SNES release was purely 2-Player. Both have their superiorities over the other, which makes it great that both are included.
@FX102A If it doesn't bother you, totally play with him. As for which version to get, do you want to play it on the go, or maybe play it some place else around the house, if not might as well go the ps4 route.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

@FX102A That makes so much more sense. I was wondering how they achieved 4 player on the SNES but assumed it required some kind of add on, like the PS1 had.

@Snatcher See I prefer to play on Switch due to portability and collecting, but I also want to play with him so really “both” is the only sane option in my warped mind.
@FragRed I think the SNES had such an add-on but don’t think the game supported it. I mean it would be awesome if they added 4-player to the SNES version here but I extremely doubt it.
@FragRed The SNES had a 4 player device called the multitap that was made by Hudsonsoft bundled with Bomberman. I had one that my friends and I played Secret of Mana with.
As for Turtles in Time the big differences were.
Slash as a boss for the Prehistoric level in the SNES while the arcade had Cement Man.
Rat King as a boss in the Sewer Surfin level on SNES.
Tokka and Rahazar are Midbosses in SNES
Technodrome boss is Battletank Shredder in SNES.
Bebop and Rocksteady are the bosses in the Pirate Ship on SNES
Neon Night Riders uses Mode7 on the SNES where as in the arcade its a side scrolling level
Minor graphical changes such as Roadkill Rodney Robots are these boxing glove robots in the Arcade version.

Really hoping we see this get a physical release here in the U.K. too. Because of the nature of this being licensed, I’d prefer a physical copy over digital.

That overpriced collectors edition is up on AmazonNA. I'm going to wishlist it with the hope it gets a steep discount six months after release. But I think TMNT is too popular for that to happen. I assume resellers are going to snag most of these and ask north of $200 for them. (I'd pay $75, tops.) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09XY1LDTT
@Magician Yea, I would have been content with just the art book+game as a middle option between standard and the full-on collector's edition.

Well, we have our release date locked in. I didn't realize or maybe I just forgot, that there's online play. I'll be down to play online next month if someone wants to jump in!
So with the game coming out the 30th who's going digital or physical? I'm debating. I could just order the physical and i guess they'll ship it by then or i could just pre-order the digital on switch eshop. What to do?
@NeonPizza I got my physical ordered from LGR for the Switch and will get the digital on the Series X.
To be honest I have played and beat most of those games except for the NES TMNT. I owned Manhatten Project and Tournament Fighters and all the other games were usually top of my rental list when I was wee lad. I played and beat the first GB game cause my friend owned it, but I never played the other ones so I will be looking forward to those. The Arcade games I use to play the first one all the time at my local Pizza Hut, remember when Pizza Huts were actual restaurants where you can sit down and eat?? They had a salad bar and a small arcade too. Any way the second Arcade game I didn't play till much later when I emulated it on my PC with MAME.

I am waiting for this to pop up on the MS Store hopefully it does soon. Still, I probably won't be able to play this till Thursday as that's my next day off. Just not quite sure what game I would start with first.

Hopefully should have my copy by the weekend. Definitely playing TMNT Arcade first as I've played TMNT IV TiT more times than I can remember. TMNT II Arcade NES should be a blast-from-the-past as well, its been a minute since I've played that. I wonder if the extra lives code still works? Title screen: Up, Right, Right, Down, Down, Down, Left, Left, Left, Left, B, A, Start.
