@Rambler you mean like the original black and white comics?

I read them once and noticed they are a weird size and I found out it was because they were an independent release they got a Chinese menu place to print the comics on the cheap so it’s done as the same size as a take out menu rather than a comic.

I wonder when we'll start to see collections like this for more recent games? You could have a Turtles collection covering games between 2000 and 2010:-

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003 - GBA)
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003 - GameCube, XBOX, PS2)
3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus (2004 - GameCube, XBOX, PS2, GBA)
4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Mutant Nightmare (2005 - GameCube, XBOX, PS2, DS)
5. TMNT: Mutant Melee (2005 - GameCube, XBOX, PS2)
6. TMNT (2007 - XB306, Wii, PS2 etc)
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up (2009 - Wii, PS2)

There are other franchises who could do collections like this...

@Rambler Sounds like the orginal, there probably did a repint done in colour.

It's shocking that that two kids made this up (and even called themselves "Mirage" as their studio didn't really exist lol) and made BILLIONS from it. Both DC and Marvel hasn't created something as big as that since then and even the biggest new comic book franchises that came afterwards like The Walking Dead, Spawn, Watchmen, Hellboy, Kingsman etc despite their succes can't touch the Turtles.

I've just checked and it looks like the old arcade game I use to play was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time so it should be in this 🙂

Pretty sure Dark Horse reprinted the original Eastman/Laird Mirage run. I was looking at a set of the originals on Monday. They’re worth a small fortune. I couldn’t get the seller to break a set (he had multiple full runs), so I picked up a couple issues of Usagi Yojimbo for my daughter instead.

Woke up this morning still in disbelief that this is real. Wow. I simply can't wait. I'd imagine this is no more than a couple months out from release date. I'm fairly certain every recent Konami collection after announced released no later than 3 months after, starting with the arcade collection, contra collection, and so on.

I wonder if the NES versions will have actual a proper save progress, Like the games save after every level you beat.. Not just a save state..

@Tasuki What's your opinion on this?? Because what's the point of a save state then when you run out of lives you have to start back from the beginning

@Bmartin001 Not to play the game lol. I totally agree with you which is why I probably won't even touch the NES TMNT game.

I’m curious, do you think we will get the Pizza Hut coupon in this collection

Yes. We will most certainly get IT. Has there been any rumblings on when the physical version will be up for a pre-order? I have a feeling you'll need to jump on that right away due to demand.

If I don’t get a coupon for a personal pan pizza in 1989, I will be angry.

@Rambler - You sent me to google with this information, and it looks like there were two Usagi games on the Spectrum as well as a modern phone game. It’d be cool to play the old ones, it looks like one was an RPG.

I’m not even into TMNT (haven’t been since I was a single-digiter), but I love Game Boy games, and I’m keen on grabbing this for those alone.

Porygon did nothing wrong.

@Rambler - I wasn’t reading the internet properly, sorry, been dealing with a bout of Covid. The RPG game is a twice published tabletop game. Although that might seem to make it a Switch exclusive, it’s of a more ancient tabletop variety where all the contents came inside a long, thin box and they were unpacked and placed upon a table accordingly and local multiplayers would physically maneuver game pieces around a game board. This game board had no chips. Unless there was a bowl of chips on the tabletop. Glad we cleared this up.

Anyone know if the online with be cross-platform? I may actually buy this on pc if it isn't because of how poor NSO is.

I was tempted to get the Arcade1up TMNT cabinet, but this totally fills that void. Feels like I just saved a couple hundred dollars and I'm also getting online in the deal. Hopefully this sells well so they can do X-Men or Simpsons collections too.

Turtles In Time is probably my favourite side scrolling Beat'em Up, very closely followed by Streets Of Rage 2. This collections is a must for me, day 1 for sure.

@Laserbeak1982 Which version of Turtles in Time did you play? I’m curious how different the arcade and SNES versions are.

@FragRed Played both quite a bit. The SNES version I'd say is better. It's smoother and has a few graphical additions plus the bosses are better (slightly different to the arcade version). It's also 4 player rather than just 2. Both have their own challenges tho, for sure the Arcade version is harder, but I guess that makes sense due to the fact you have to pay to play.

@Laserbeak1982 Ah okay interesting to know that the SNES version seems the better game. Kinda surprised that the arcade didn’t have a 4 player cabinet like the first game yet the SNES does.
