Topic: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

@Bolt_Strike They said not to expect a lot of new fighters, but I'm expecting Nintendo to be holding onto a good few to drip-feed us up until release... likely the majority of them echo-fighters. Speculation is always fun, anyone think we might see Spring-man or Ribbon-Girl enter the stage?

I'd love to add Steve? from Minecraft... but I think Microsoft's charity only goes so far.

I would LOVE to see Jimmy T (from the WarioWare games) make his debut. I think the WarioWare series deserves a secondary character on the roster.

I could have lived without the return of the generic why-are-they-there avatar characters from the Fire Emblem series (Robin and Corrin). If they were at least customisable (a la the Mii characters) as they were in the 3DS games, I wouldn't feel so bitter about their inclusion. The Fire Emblem series has such a rich cast of diverse and colourful characters, so I don't understand why the blandest of the bland have been chosen for inclusion in the Smash roster.

If Isaac is announced, I will be completely 100% happy. No complaints on anyone else missing (Though Sora or Geno from Squeenix would be the icing on the cake if they happened) Anyways, anyone make up a list of available stages revealed so far yet? Or I guess I could be patient and wait for the site to update with them...

I'm in love with the visual style of this game.

Who owns the rights for Captain N the Gamesmaster? Surely Nintendo could buy those rights back, add him to Smash & give an "embarrassed" animation to Megaman and Pitt(icus)?

I have to admit, I'm surprised they went with Super Smash Bros. Megamix. I guess that is a way to make it both a port and a new game, like I kinda thought it would, but going that crazy with it is kinda gonna make the next Smash either take an eternity to release (unless they do the Splatoon thing like they SHOULD) or disappoint people. Huh.

I'm mostly sad that no one will get why I said Megamix or what that's referencing on the NINTENDO website.

Does anyone know if there'll be a mode where two people on the same Switch can play online against others?

@Silly_G Okay Bayonetta I get, but Ridley was in Smash 4 (and Brawl, and Melee, and 64), even if he wasn't playable.

So . . . does this confirm the DasVergerben leak? The leak suggested Ice Climbers, Snake, Ridley, and Simon Belmont would be making an appearance. I think Simon would be a great addition.

Folk said Smash for Switch would be 4.5.Looks more like 4.9 to me.

@DarthNocturnal Yeah, I found that match annoying, but only because Ridley's second stock was taken by that stupid Beetle item. Lord, how I hate that item so much. Using it only results in cheap knockouts.

Oh, and as for the reasons for the match... well, it's certainly not going to help Bayonetta's reputation, is it?

ALRIGHT! Ridley, Snake and Wolf, LETS GO!...but I will be greedy and ask for several more newcomers. I didn't see any BoTW, ARMS, or Indie reps (or Birdo and Waluigi), so I'm still expecting more.
