@DarkRula Thanks. I can see the 12 pieces on the website, 4 each for $3.99, $4.99, and $12.99, so that's $80 total, but there's no bundle that I can see.
Since the digital edition is $59.99 and the Deluxe edition is $79.99 I was thinking there should be a way for people who originally bought the base game for $60 to but the additional DCL in game for $20 as most season passes for games can be bought after you buy the game. Not everybody is going to want to shell out $80 day 1 in case they don't like it and would prefer to buy the base game for $60 first and then decide if they want the DLC later. So I was hoping somebody who already had the game installed could tell me if that option appeared in game.

@rjejr I’ve got the game. Unfortunately, there is not a bundle like you’re describing (an ‘upgrade’ for the physical, if you will).
They don’t really have a best of both worlds, probably because they knew the starter pack would eventually drop so low in price ☹️

@JackEatsSparrows Thanks. Maybe after my mom leaves we'll trade it in for some store credit, buy some eShop cards, and buy it the next time it's on sale digitally. Or just play it best we can w/ what's in the starter pack, be done with it, and put the AR-wing on his shelf with his other nic-knacks. Still worth $30 that way I suppose.

@rjejr From the eShop - Collection Pack £58: featuring the 4 starships, 8 pilots, and 12 weapons needed to complement the physical starter edition if you don't want to collect the rest of the toys. Most of that stuff comes with the digital starter edition anyway, so it's there for those physical buyers. Though obviously it might not be in the price range you're after.
@rjejr I'm pretty sure you're limited to two choices, buying the toys or buying the complete expansion pack (the one that's like $75). The physical game doesn't mix with the digital individual expansions, as far as I know.
The good news is you don't actually need all the DLC to complete the game. I only bought one starship pack aside from the starter, and I've gotten almost all the way through the game before I moved on to other games. (I should really go back and finish it...) And I've heard of people completing the game without expansions.

@DarkRula@Grumblevolcano I'm not sure what the Collection pack is, didn't see anything like that on the website, which is why I was asking in the first place, but it does sound like what I was looking for. But the price does seem high right now, we'll have to wait and see.
@JasmineDragon $75 is a non-starter when the game was $30, might as well call it free-to-play at that point, but we'll see how it goes.
My sons played the tutorial level today, they seemed to be having fun. Maybe they'll just play it as is and not worry about DLC. I can't imagine us buying any more toys unless the clearance stores get them. Five Below had Ryu and AC amiibo for $5 each.
Thanks everyone.

For anyone that only bought the starter pack and has a US account;
You can use the Lance ship, Hunter pilot, and Imploder weapon for free this weekend. Jan18 3am Eastern to Jan21 3am Eastern.
Saw it in my Switch console newsfeed

@JackEatsSparrows That's a weird weekend demo. I think my kids are playing it co-op right now, gonna go let them know, they're not big on reading news feeds.

I figured that would happen, especially with the free pilot weekends as of late.
Nice that they’ll be adding some free content along with premium, though.
I like the game, just wish there was more meat to the story and universe. But I have been spoiled by Mass Effect.

@rjejr You can pick up things digitally to fill in the missing parts. The hard thing is that the ships act as extra lives if you get in over your head. IGN has a good breakdown of digital vs. physical (https://www.ign.com/wikis/starlink-battle-for-atlas/Physical_vs_Digital_Version_Comparisons#Digital_Versions_Breakdown)
TL:DR version there is a digital collection pack for $60 that includes the ships/pilots/guns you missed by getting the physical version.
@Darknyht Thanks. I played the game for about 2 hours w/ my son 2 weeks ago but he decided he didn't like it and moved on. I may get to it but I don't know when.

Does anyone recall the article some time back about how there was a ship version that wasn't released in the NA region and where the article or story was at?
@chardir that's it and I did get the two exclusive retail store versions as well. Even though they are closing I still liked them. Will be a collector's value now. Now to store them away. Starfox was the one I played the most.
So this game has been occupying my backlog since I bought the Deluxe Digital during the Christmas sale. I have trouble getting into it because all the ships and weapons make the game feel overwhelming. Any suggestions on what weapon and ship strategy I could use to make it a little more accessible for me? I've started the campaign with Fox. I still have the feeling that the game has a lot to offer for me.
@toiletduck I've used Fox, Arwing, Ice Missiles and Flamethrower (don't remember the names of the weapons but it's something like that) not having to change to other weapons much.
@toiletduck Same as Grumble, I used mostly Fox, Arwing, and Ice Missiles with the Fire Gatling. I will suggest using the main character (Razer?) for a bit, because his ally skill gives a passive XP boost to everyone once it's unlocked. You'll find that the Arwing-specific upgrades don't really cut it in late game.
