The new checkpoints in SR are amazing. Good players right from the start and closer to EVP999. I got the gold badge for Salmonid Smokeyard. YAY! And it was way less stressful than when I got it for Jamin' Junction(it was a gold rotation).
Without starting at 300, I would still be at 740 (obviously lol)... Great to have a head start when aiming to get to 999!

Been playing some Turf War matches today and I saw somebody who seemed to have a Christmas-themed sweater on. I recall hearing you'd need to get the holiday gear from the Switch news? However I tried looking for the article that has the gear, and it's not there for me. I'm in the US... did Nintendo of America not post it in the news channel yet?

@MarioLover92 The gear you're probably thinking of is the Fuzzly Sweater, one of the Catalogue items for Chill Season 2023!

(the Foil Squeezer player in the reveal trailer was wearing it if that helps jog your memory!)

This has been a great year for Splatoon fans but BRING ON SIDE ORDER!!!

This current SR rotation is hot garbage. Maybe the worst I've ever seen. 😡

Mid season balance patch should release soon, meaning another possible stage rework! What would be everyone’s hopes for this update, and which stage is your most wanted for a rework?

My hope would be for more fixes to Screen (of course), but also for “Long Aerospray” to be improved to be more like Dual Squelchers from S1. (Long Aerospray is the joke name for Splattershot Nova) My most wanted Stage for a rework is probably Humpback or Hammerhead. Eeltail would be good as well.

@CaleBoi25 My hopes would be a buff to a few weaker specials (reefslider, tri strike and make ultra stamp actually block shots from the front lol) and nerf for tacticooler please!

As for maps, I think eeltail alley needs a much needed glow up😂

@_Lime Being able to kill Stanp from the front is mostly a problem if you are fighting Shooters and Splatlings. Because they can shoot continuously until the hammer is raised. Stuff like Rollers absolutely die from the front!
@Croctopus I see your point (…sensor, get it lol) but it has gotten that nickname for a reason. I mean really the kit is just “find people for your team, but you can’t do much about it” and the second kit is good because Jetpack.

@Croctopus I think Side Order timing will be down to the general 1st party lineup. If there's still unannounced 1st party games for the 1st half of 2024 to announce, you're likely right on the timing. But if all that's left to announce is a release date for Side Order, TTYD and LM2 I think it's more likely they save Side Order for release alongside the Sizzle Season update.

Hammerhead for sure! Humpback is virtually identical to how it was originally in Splatoon 2 so I'm fine with it.

Yeah, but there's no jet squelcher standing on a ramp spamming tenta missles the entire game, so it's way better in 3.

I'm really hoping for undercover buffs. Hopefully, now that both kits are in the game and both kits are bad, the devs will realize how many buffs this weapon needs. I really like the fast gameplay of tacticooler meta, so hopefully they don't nerf it to much. I think it'd be cool for the devs to lean more into the confusion theme for splattercolor screen buffs. Hide the UI at the top of the screen, make you hallucinate special start up sound effects, jumble up your map, give you fake objective/last minute warnings. The special doesn't really need the buffs, but there's tons of cool options for when the devs want to.

@BingleyBongley Some of that would be hell.... and I love the idea!
