The Challenge that was running last night was delightful. Everyone got a random ability maxed out and a random weapon, which led to some straight up hilarious results. Like max swim speed with roller is so dumb and I love it.
Big Run will be starting very soon. I have to post a reminder because even I have let this Big Run slip my mind lately. It may or may not be the last one too.
Happy Marie Day, Big Run AND Friday the 13th! Funny how days can sometimes line up...
@vio I don’t know what they’ll do for June. We’ve never had the same Big Run site in a given month for two years in a row, like having Undertow Spillway this June again. They alternate, like Wahoo World one year in December and Barnacle & Dime the next.
June 2023 was Undertow Spillway, June 2024 was the BIG Big Run, and June 2025 was Undertow again. Will we have another BIG Big Run? I wouldn’t mind, but Nintendo might’ve treated that as a special one-and-done event like Grand Festival.
Hey all! I made a post in the newbie thread, but though I'd quickly say hello here as well as a Splatoon fan. Hope to be decently active here and looking forward to playing some Big Run later!
I got 169 and a Top 4% ranking. It's nearly like how I did in last March's Inkblot Art Academy Big Run, just with a few more eggs.
After getting Top 2% rankings three times in a row, I knew I wouldn't do AS good in this one because I had a noticeably harder time than recent Big Runs. Even at the highest levels and Snatchers commonly going right over the basket with their eggs, my teammates weren't quite there and I had to do the bulk of the collecting!
Those are some pretty good scores, I managed to get 150 after being stuck just barely out of gold on 134 for a little bit. Happy I managed to match with a pretty decent team to finish things off, but Salmon Run is definitely not my strong suit (I had just been playing Side Order and kept trying to glide my way out of danger, to little success)
Dang already? Looking forward to it as the 2025 season was super fun to keep up with every week, and it's nice to see Nintendo supporting the competitive community more and more. I'm curious to see how Flow Aura will impact the matches at a competitive level though (given that it has been established for a couple months), and if it will result in more 'hype' moments
speaking of which, aren't we getting fairly close to around the time where we should expect a balance patch to drop? they did say the next one would come sooner thanks to flow aura being added, and yet i think we're not too far off from the standard gap of 3-4 months...
remember; your chicken parm is not safe around me!
That's a good point actually, I'd forgotten about that. 11.0 was released Jan 28th which is just under two months ago, so a patch in the next week or two would make sense. You'd think that they would want to release it well before the NA league starts as well, so that players are able to adapt to the new changes, especially considering I don't think there were any patches released during the the 2025 NA league?

Now that you bring it up, it will be interesting to see what they do for a September Big Run, especially since a new 2-year cycle starts then.
Because since Grand Festival is never coming back, we can safely assume Grand Run won’t return either.
So like, what are they gonna do in September if Grand Run really is a one-and-done like Grand Festival? Are they just going to do a normal Big Run in its place, and where?
