Topic: Splatoon 3

Just saw in a video what they have changed with the screen... Wow... The screen got nerved drastically. I ... don't know how I feel about that...

I think the choices may be to balance out the teams more. Shiver has a large enough fanbase who only vote for Shiver whatever the theme, Frye has the most popular choice of the 3 (Family was largely more popular than Friends in Splatoon 2 FrostyFest) and Big Man has the ink colour. After all, the most fun Splatfests are the ones where all 3 teams have around a third of the vote.

Surprised that NLife hasn't written about the fest yet...

I'm also picking Family for the FrostyFest. I've always spent Christmastime with family, and I'm so thankful that I've got great family members on both my mom's and dad's sides. <3 So, Family it is... no regrets!

Kinda wish that Nintendo went with a different FrostyFest theme though... my idea was something along the lines of what our favorite childhood toy was. Then again, just picking three of those would've been hard. I love the FrostyFest gear that they'll be adding... especially the top hat! I have my Animal Crossing character wear a top hat in New Horizons, and I'm surely putting one on my Inkling right when I get a chance.

@Budda To be fair, I think this incarnation of the special was a mistake from the beginning. Based on the reactions people were having they obviously hadn't done enough testing.

Finally completed Wandercrust journey for the Frivolous Paw Suit gear. Also finally splatted 1000th Bigshot for the silver Bigshot badge.

Hardly any experienced SR players in the mix in eastern US. Played a stretch of 20 Salmon Run jobs where I only completed two of the jobs. Although I did manage to beat horrorboros once.

@Moffo It takes a while, but it just accumulates inkage points from battles and salmon run. So, you just have to play a bunch. If you've been playing since the season started, then you've already accumulted points for it. You just have to open the splatnet app, open Wandercrust, open each of the ten checkpoints and click the "Support" button on the ones you've filled up already. If you've played a good amount of Splatoon this month, you may already have a bunch of it complete.

I think I had something very rare happening in SR. Yesterday I got 3x bronze and 8x silver scales for beating Horrorboros. 8 silver?!?!
(All at once of course)

@Budda That's an impressive loadout. I think the best I've seen was during big run, i got 6 silver scales, which had the 2x bonus for the event, which gave me 12. I don't think I've seen 8, that is pretty crazy.

Oh, your title says "Snowy", nice! Yeah, the festive title I got was "Frosty". At least we got festive titles. Wish we got christmas-y/holiday banners, but I bet we're only going to get a generic New Years themed one for the festive January splatfest.

It's a shame the "fuzzy" ugly christmas sweater gear in the catalog is level 50. It's going to be well after christmas that anyone get's to level 50. I've been trying to play once a day to get the win-of-the-day bonus to level up my catalog at least once a day. I'm at level 31 currently. I imagine anyone with a real life isn't that far with their catalog.

@Croctopus I really enjoyed yesterday's SR weapons, splattershot jr, splat roller, dualies, charger.

I've come to the realization, I do NOT like the Kracken special in Salmon Run. Every time I need a special to take out stingers I have the stupid Kracken, and it's not a good tool for the job - seems like it's the slowest way to kill a stinger. Was SR better before they introduced the Kracken special to Splatoon 3 Salmon Run? I dare say it was?

The Kracken is very good in every other aspect though. If the basked for excample is crowded by many other bosses, you can easily get rid of them in a save manner. Any other special is either not as effective or not as save. Like you can die trying to use the Booyah Bomb or the Ink Jet. Happened to me a few times.

@WoomyNNYes I am at 33 in the catalog, but I guess some people will grind a bit more than we did. I really wanted that sweater, but it’s not like I won’t have my inkling wear it all spring as well! I do know of someone who is one their third catalog already(!?!?)
