Topic: Splatoon 3

This is the first season where I've currently failed to promote to S rank (stuck at A+ rank). Does that mean I'll be A rank in the next season?

@Croctopus Since Splatoon 2, I think the winter holiday themed splatfests have, so far, always been in january.

@Croctopus I think given we got a Splatfest in November that FrostyFest will be early January.

I’m worried for BR on Barnacle and Dime considering the map is already a tetris piece small as it is. Still hope it’s fun though as I like BR most of the time

This here's the outfit I'm gonna main, once I finish my goal of farming every ability chunk on all other clothes that matches each one's primary ability (which will involve a LOT of grinding for gold, luckily I have a ton of those tickets to help with that since I don't have any tickets to get the "respawn faster" chunks). Hopefully by "Drizzle Season 2024" I'll have it all finished.

@IceDomino Cool! I like it! I'm cheap so I don't spend ability chunks on good looking gear. My outfits are straight out of a horror movie.

The Triple Splashdown is... weird. I'm definitely happy to see it back, but I thought Reefslider was meant to replace the Splashdown? If so, what's going to be Reef's purpose now?

I think Reef is more like a save way to get into certain spots, and less a splatting special or panik button.
Triple Splashdown is more like a kamikaze panik button. In situations where you can't realistically escape, where even super jumping out is too slow, you can at least take your enemy with you. Plus you can technically use it offensively with the super jump and at save spots, behind low walls or something with a surprise attack. This thing has so much range, if the enemy doesn't see you beforehand, you are quite save from being shot down.

@IceDomino Oh, you got those shoes!? I want those shoes! I regret not unlocking those shoes and Seafoam baseball hat from previous catalogs. Even if I see someone in splatsville wearing them, the game won't allow me to order them. I guess I have to wait for the spring catalogue to re-issue them. I think that's the only catalogue I didn't complete.

when it came down to splashdown for me it was a incredible that they did made a simple thing yet a creative special and i was sad when they didn't released it first day

Funny how the video showing the new special still has the player being splatted, like they’re reminding us that just because it’s new and powerful, doesn’t mean you’re totally invincible.

Dark Tetra Dualies was my main in Splatoon 2 which had Splashdown so it'll be nice to check out the Dualies + Splashdown combo in Splatoon 3.

The new Splashdown looks quite a bit more deadly than the original. Probably gonna wind up getting nerfed LOL.

@Croctopus What do you mean by "a doozy"! These changes are great! (Not british, doozy is always negative, right?)

I have 34 extra sheldon licenses, sooo glad they have a use now. Reefslider buff was much needed. Improvements to x battles and anarchy series are always welcome. New special weapons in salmon run is great (It's going to be so fun to revive teammates with Kraken!) King salmonoid displays were 100% necessary. All the buffs seem fair and good. Overall, I think this patch was really good! (There aren't many changes though. They either need to change more stuff or release patches more frequently.)
