I never really realised how well balanced this game is. Im in S rank (why do you lose x battles at the end of every season!) and just won a series using the undercover brella (thought it would be fun tot try it out).
Yes some weapons are stronger than others, but in the end, they're all close enough that you can have success with any.
@CaleBoi25 I sadly had to unsub from Hazmy since he completely abandoned Splatoon/Salmon Run. Shame as I really enjoyed his content. He was the only Splatoon YouTuber besides SRB2Dude I was subscribed to.
@vio I really liked Hazmy as well. I left a message to him asking if he would consider throwing in some SR content again, so maybe if enough people do that he'd consider it.
@BingleyBongley While I felt everybody overreacted when it came to "NB Shiver,” dedf1sh being nonbinary is plausible since sanitization removes individuality. Not that NB people are less special ofc, I just mean that sanitization could affect gender to make everyone the same.
@luckyseven Maybe it could be how a room loads when you enter. To the left, an outline looks like the ramp & orb that spawns all the jelly drybones fish that the octoling fights in the most recent Side Order trailer. Or, I'm going to guess that pic is part of the opening, or a cut scene. It is cool looking, though.
The Octo Expansion trailer showed the underground subway entrance near the turnstiles at the beginning of the game. In the game, you only see that at the beginning of story mode, and then you never see it again. XD (Not implying there isn't' anything cool after) I'm guessing the side order trailer follows a similar formula of showing the beginning of the story mode.
@WoomyNNYes Ooh, a possible loading screen for a floor would be interesting. Maybe it explains how all of the floors are different? Or maybe it’s on one of the upper floors too, aka the possible final stretch. Could also be a cutscene thing too but I really hope it appears in gameplay since going through it would be so cool. We’ll just have to see! On the other hand, SRL said Side Order would be releasing in Spring 2024 at the “earliest”… hope that’s not final 🥲
@CaleBoi25 I don’t keep track of the SR community since I don’t play it as much as the other modes but why did Hazmy stop making Splatoon content? I only heard of them a few times but apparently they were one of the best SR players?
@Croctopus Nintendo don't tease potential delays though, they just announce them when ready to announce. The other thing that came to mind other than the setup of whether early Sizzle Season counts as Spring or Summer is potentially Side Order is a launch title for Switch 2.
@WoomyNNYes brought up about potential Splatoon 4 timing and if that is far into the Switch successor's lifespan, Nintendo may want to have major Splatoon 3 content be a launch title to have Splatoon active during the early Switch 2 era. Kind of like how MK8 Deluxe originally served as a way to have Mario Kart be active early on in the Switch era.

I read on his community post that he stops making SR content, because Splatoon makes him feel bad at the moment.
Kind of a vague reasoning. I kind of don't believe that. I think he just got bored of it when he started doing other game covers..
@luckyseven He did a video on how he wasn't getting enough view or smth for SR content so he would be moving away from it temporarily. IDK, I asked him about it in a comment he said he's on break from Splatoon right now.
Yeah, if anyone looks at Hazmy's youtube, most of his recent Salmon Run videos have 1k views, while his more recent videos for other games are consistently getting vew counts of 10k, sometimes 20k, 40-50k.
Seems like SR content makers have dwindled since there isn't new in-game content to delve into. Even CheWoomy stopped making videos, or really cut back, since like May or June, although (I didn't pay attention to the view counts.
@CaleBoi25 Our teams were not good. Don't sweat it. You'd think being partied up with a friend should make things easier, but it definitely wasn't yesterday. I'm not sure how lucky we have to be to get decent teammates if we're partied up.
Today, I had a full salmonid meter in EVP for 7 or 8 matches. It got really disappointing not-getting a king salmonid and losing so often that I ended up demoting myself to pro 3 hoping to clear 3 waves more consistently. It... didn't help. I might be in Pro 2 now.
@CaleBoi25 It’s sad it has to do with the view count but I can see where he’s coming from. Did Hazmy play the latest Big Run at all?
Another unrelated note, I played Tower Control on Manta Maria last night and I felt like I was in a cramped room. The corridors the tower goes through along with people trying to chase after it make it very confusing lol

From the looks of it, he's just covering the most recent released games. Every new game generates more views. But his Exoprimal videos are doing not so well anymore. Like his SR videos. He abandoned that as well from the looks of it.
Don't know.. I don't think that's how you handle a channel.. "Toss it away if it's not generating enough fews anymore"-mentality.
@luckyseven@Budda Yeah I loved his SR content! I didn’t even know he dropped ExoPrimal. A agree, constantly changing themes is not a good mentality for a channel. I’m not sure if he stills plays Splatoon at all. His reply only said he was “on break” so IDK if that means he is burnt out or if he is only on break from content creation for it. Oh, well, we may never know. @WoomyNNYes That first round was really bad! I think you and I were the only ones even trying to take out high priority bosses or revive anybody! Also, Pro3 didn’t help too much as my first match had two players disconnect immediately, and we were left with an ink brush and a big swig :,) That was interesting to play through. (No we did not clear it haha)
