Finally made it back up to A-! I was literally shaking while playing my last rank-up battle since I’d lost two so far but I managed to win two games in a row. Now I’m wondering if I’ll ever make it up to S or even X sometime, maybe I can

You can absolutely make it! The grind is hard but if you already made it to A rank then is definitely possible!

So what is everyone’s current rank? I am high in A+ and hope to get to S this week or next.

I’m s+1 and my highest x power at the moment is around 2180

@CaleBoi25 I only briefly played ranked in Splatoon 2. I think I got to S rank to prove I could and then lost interest, because Salmon Run is my favorite mode.

I finally tried Splatoon 3 ranked with Splat Zones for the first time about a week ago. I couldn't believe how hard my default C rank was. I remember C rank in Splatoon 2 was mostly newbs, very easy to dominate. I don't know what's going on that C rank in Splatoon 3 was as tense & high-skilled as it was. Maybe it's because there's a lack of new players in the current meta?

@CaleBoi25 I haven't played too much Ranked Battles, so I'm still at C-. I should change that sometime.

@_Lime I took a peek at Inkipedia and wow it’s going to take a while to get up to X rank lol. I’ll aim for S but maybe I’ll try to get to X in the future!

I’m stuck in A+ new-season-purgatory. Matchmaker seems hellbent on keeping me out of S+ at the end of a season and won’t even let me keep a good rando team in a rank-up series at the beginning of the new season. It’s a joke at this point. I feel your pain @CaleBoi25

"Side Order is planned to launch spring 2024 at the earliest" gives me the impression of it releasing alongside Sizzle Season 2024 rather than Fresh Season 2024.

I never really realised how well balanced this game is. Im in S rank (why do you lose x battles at the end of every season!) and just won a series using the undercover brella (thought it would be fun tot try it out).
Yes some weapons are stronger than others, but in the end, they're all close enough that you can have success with any.

@CaleBoi25 I sadly had to unsub from Hazmy since he completely abandoned Splatoon/Salmon Run. Shame as I really enjoyed his content. He was the only Splatoon YouTuber besides SRB2Dude I was subscribed to.

@vio I really liked Hazmy as well. I left a message to him asking if he would consider throwing in some SR content again, so maybe if enough people do that he'd consider it.
