People are already at each other's throats online over the results, you hate to see it 😔

Happy to get the win there myself! I was genuinely convinced Frye was finally going to take it home this time but I guess Japan had other ideas so I'll take it XD

Though that last bit right there is kind of what's been made this fest feel like a bit of anticlimax: Japan essentially has all the power in this situation. Due to region locked Splatfest rankings no longer being a thing, we're essentially at the whim of Japan in regards to the Popularity vote due to how much bigger the fanbase is there compared to the rest of the world. And when you have a Japanese-inspired idol next to two that appeal more to other sides of the world? It's probably not too surprising to see her CONSTANTLY win. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next time I suppose.

Nice. Well played everyone and congratulations to Team Shiver! This Splatfest was again alot of fun, like every Splatfest so far. I love how they presented the result. No hard feelings and everyone thanked their supporters.

@WoomyNNYes
Well, I found Splatoon 1 was on sale and the only chance I can get the game while it still available considering Splatoon 1 Wii U game become very rare game in my country Indonesia.
I have a plan to get Splatoon 1 first since some of Wii U games are pretty hard to find in my country so after getting the first game, I will get the second and third games as they are still easy to find in my country.
I prioritize the hard to get games first then the common games.

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

I feel like we should automatically get the gold Deep Cut badges if we win a 100x or 333x battle.
The new Deep Cut song playing outside and in the lobby is so touching. I'm glad I didn't spoil it.

Ok, that makes more sense. I'm still in Inkopolis and Maritime Memory was playing outside and in the lobby so I was getting the feeling of "Is Splatoon 3 coming to a close?" in the sense of outside of Side Order everything for the rest of Splatoon 3's lifespan being repeats of stuff already in the game (like what Mario Kart Tour is like from October 4th).

Sure it's the song for the 1st half of the Splatfest but it's also the Splatoon 1 credits song and was used for the end of Splatfests video.

But the setup in the Splatlands being the new song gives hope that it's not a sign of the end.

Let's be honest, we already know who's winning the FinalFest...
It's sort of crazy how much shiver has been winning, hopefully Frye can get a couple of wins before splatfests are over.

@Grumblevolcano We’ve got a full year of support locked in at least, after which the Switch’s successor probably won’t be too far away.

The Splat 3 party is far from over!

I think that one of the only flaws of having 3 idols is that mainly it’s popularity contest between shiver and big man and the third one gets completely forgotten (Frye). Also, a part of splatfest voters vote based solely on the idol and ignore the theme (myself included). This could also explain why shiver wins most of the time- we know that 50% of the playerbase prefers shiver and even if a fraction of those people will only vote shiver then that group could swing the vote into her favour.
I know I am probably overthinking this and I hope you get the gist of what ii am saying.

EDIT: To summarise- people vote for different reasons but the people who always vote based on which character they like are most likely to sway the results, we know shiver is the most popular idol so there will be that most people who will always vote for her

I have a new motivation for Splatoon 3: From now on, in every turf war I’ll try to get 1000 points each time. Much like how in every Splatfest my goal has always been to get the “Ruler” title.

Getting 1000+ points isn’t guaranteed a win though. But it means I’m putting in effort, you know?

@HenryKibble yeah, but certain weapons are much better at painting than others, so maybe pick a goal based off the weapon instead of using 1000 for all of them. for weapons which mainly focus on splats and don't paint well, maybe look at your splats instead.

I got my first ever 333x battle during this splatfest and lost miserably. Oh well..

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I was able to play… one game of splatfest. It was fun though, and I thought the after splatfest music was cool.

I should point out I'm NOT trying to become the greatest player in the entire universe in this game.

I'm finally almost done completing the Wandercrust challenge on the Splatnet app, which rewards you with the Crispy Sean outfit. The mesh cap with glasses (I'll never use). The sneakers are cool - I got those. And the crispy tempura chest gear, the final piece, is within reach (not sure I'll really ever use it XD). I have 43,500 pts left that I need, which will probably take about 45 matches to complete.

Completing the Wandercrust challenge requires a crap ton of painting. Or malybe it seems like a crap ton to me because I mostly play Salmon Run, and I don't think Salmon Run points count (which is bs, if I'm right).

Since a Nintendo Direct is coming tomorrow, I'm kinda hoping for more details about Side Order. Especially its release date. I've been in a Splatoon mood for quite some time now, and I finished all the games' story modes, so I'm all ready for it!

@ok1 @CaleBoi25 I liked the music that they had for after the Splatfest as well. I think they just added it for this latest version. I also liked the remixed victory/defeat jingles and how there's confetti before a match begins.

@MarioLover92 Yeah, the remixed victory music in this most recent splatfest was great! I can't believe Nintendo has the money, and resources to keep making so much high quality pop music for Splatoon. I don't know how they do it, but I imagine their budget is huge.

@WoomyNNYes The music is a huge reason why I like playing in the Splatfests, honestly. I'd say Fins in the Air is my favorite tune in Splatoon 3... I get hyped every time that music starts playing!

How are we feeling about Side Order possibly showing up at the Direct tomorrow? It’s one of my most wanted Nintendo things rn but I’ll keep my expectations low. The Splatoon segment in the last Direct felt like a middle finger to anyone who was expecting Side Order, I was literally telling myself “oh they’ll just show it after the announcement? Right…?” and my heart almost broke in two. The Ice Cream Splatfest wasn’t that good either tbh
