Just completed the insane ch. 18 battle on the Benedict ending route (I was going to go for Frederica's, but failed to convince anyone and was outvoted; I guess I could have reloaded, but I feel like going with the flow is the best way to experience this for the first time, and this'll probably end up being a better initial ending anyway). That map would have been unthinkable without Jens and his spring traps. I've really come to appreciate that character.
Almost 35 hours into my initial playthrough now. Unless this ends super quickly, I'll definitely end up pumping in about 40 hours or so into my first playthrough.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
38 hours in, I've completed my first ending. What a great experience!
Not sure if I'm going to shift to doing a second playthrough or focus on other stuff atm. I do at least want to see what the changes in NG+ are like. I hear the game gets significantly harder in a second playthrough, so I'll probably avoid upping the difficulty. I've been very happy with the difficulty balancing on normal.

Good lord, that tutorial battle is brutal with higher-level enemies on NG+.
@komodo182 I think I'll (slowly) play through a second file and focus on grinding my units and exploring story decisions I neglected before. Then, if I'm still so inclined, do a NG++ run on the golden ending.

52 hours in now (just started Ch. 7 of NG+), and I'm focusing on developing my ENTIRE party, which includes powerleveling the weak side characters I neglected during my first playthrough.. Although I've found the best strategy for leveling them quickly is to drop them in along with a bunch of much stronger units and allow them to steal easy kills or attack enemies when it's safe.
Between that, the increased number of hard optional maps, managing my alignment points (I should be able to go above 1600 with all of them within a handful of chapters now), and skipping cutscenes I've already seen, the game is feeling much more gameplay-driven now.
Ch. IX now. While the game has re-collapsed into the central narrative thread again, I love how different it felt after I chose to surrender Roland. There are so many new things to experience in a NG+ run that it almost feels like a secondary campaign.
I really need to set this down soon so I can give Kirby some attention, though. I've ignored the pink puff for too long.

Just finished it, not bad, not great. I'm sure it's been said many times by now, but the comparison to Final Fantasy Tactics was completely misleading imo. Other than a few of the combat similarities, I don't think they're comparable at all.
@BruceCM Oh yeah I’m loving it, I just haven’t been getting much time to play it on weekdays. I just beat the second battle against Booker because I wouldn’t help them with the salt… that was a hard fight haha, so many enemies.
I’m probably not going to do a second play through when I finish this one, because I’m going to start playing 3DS games, but I’ll probably do one later on.
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
Had taken quite a break from this game with so much other stuff releasing, but I finished Chapter 8 last night and part of Chapter 9. This game is tough! Even on Normal I lost 2 times in a row trying to fight Silvio's mercenaries. Had to drop it down to Easy.
Such a great game. Immediately sucked me right back into it.
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)

Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
Recently finished Chapter 11, so over halfway done! The choice to surrender the Rosellans or save them was tough, but I chose to save them. That fight was really tough afterwards haha.

@BabyYoda71 That fight was probably my hardest in the first playthrough. I lost so many units, the song changed to the "You finna die" theme. All I had left were Erador, Geela, and Hossabara. And there were probably about 7-8 enemy units left. Managed to cheese a win by provoking enemies and running away. The further enemies didn't give chase so then we'd gang up on them one or two at a time and then heal and go after the next.
