@NotoriousWhiz I switched to Easy difficulty around Chapter 7, so I had an easier time, but it’s still a tough fight.
I lost the game. Didn’t know that could happen. In Chapter 12, if you can’t find the key you lose, and have to try again… that puzzle was really hard. I just talked to every NPC one by one until I triggered the right order and got it the second time. I now feel quite a bit better about fighting for the Rosellians.

Ok, biggest flaw with the game so far: in Chapter 15 I think you vote on whether to: go see Serenoa’s father, go with Roland to stop illegal activity, or save the Rosellans from the people attacking them. I didn’t like this because it was the first vote in the game you didn’t really have control over. In every other vote so far, you’re at least guaranteed to convince the Undecided person, but in this one, both Undecided people are likely to vote for seeing Serenoa’s father, so if you want either of the other two, it’s really hard to win. I like the voting thing because you can see how good you are at convincing people, but you still get to do what you want to if you can’t convince everyone, but that’s not true in this case and it bugs me. I tried to convince them to save the Rosellans, but lost, so rebooted the file to try convince them to go with Roland and lost again.
Anyway. Still a good game, just a massive flaw in my opinion.

@BabyYoda71 I have done all three of those options. Didn't have any issues convincing people. You have to pick the right answers for the right character.
@komodo182 I probably just chose the wrong options - but still annoying, they can’t expect everyone to try over and over until they get all the right answers.

I just finished Chapter 16, so 5 left! Google says the rest of the game is the endgame, so I’m excited to finally finish my first play through! I plan on finishing it off this week (tomorrow if I can) so I can move on to a new game. I don’t plan on doing it immediately, but I definitely want to do a couple more play throughs so I can see some of the other paths.
Something I like about the end of it, is that now that you have all the characters from Character Stories, the Character Stories are just building characters that haven’t appeared often (like the one with Hossabara). I hope there’s more of those in the last few chapters.

@BabyYoda71 There is more character stories and you definitively don't have all the characters yet
If you save before 17, you can do a few different endings quickly. Then just one more playthrough for the true ending.
@komodo182 Yeah that’s what I plan on doing. I originally chose Frederica’s path, but it didn’t feel right so I went back and chose Benedict’s. I’m just strongly against Roland’s haha.

@BabyYoda71 I do suggest trying them all. Only takes about 2ish hours per path after chap 17th. Gives you different views and makes you enjoy the true ending more.
@BabyYoda71 NG+ is really well-implemented in this. Between probably still needing to unlock a few more characters, a host of additional optional maps that only unlock in a second playthrough, leveling up and upgrading units you neglected on your first run, and a large amount of new content via going for story routes you didn't opt for previously, the second playthrough is feeling much less repetitive than I thought it would.
I just actually used the features of the encampment for the first time after losing the battle in Chapter 18… I won by a lot after that. Some of those features make you so much stronger and I didn’t even know they existed!

Just finished my first play through! It took me just over 30 hours, so pretty short compared to other’s save files. It was an amazing game, and I definitely want to play the other endings, and do one or two more play throughs. One of the best games I’ve ever played, definitely the best story in one.
Question: is there a way to see what my Conviction points were without starting a NG+ game? EDIT: Never mind, you have to be Chapter 5 on NG+ according to Google.
@BabyYoda71 Congrats! I just finished my new game plus for golden route. I was lucky in that there was only choice that I had to repeat in my new game plus. Every other choice, I was able to choose something different and it really frames the narrative in a completely different way. I'm now sad that this game is over. I wish there would be DLC but I know there won't be. Guess I'll wait for Pentagon Strategy...
I took most of the things needed to get the Golden Route, so it appears I’ll have to do multiple more play throughs. Out of curiosity, I checked how many characters I got in my play through - 19/30. Missed 6 of the Character Stories, Corentin, Cordelia, Travis/Trish, and Avlora. I think it’s interesting that if you go to save the Rosellans in Chapter 15, you get a different character depending on whether or not you protected them in Chapter 11, I like that idea.

@BabyYoda71 for what's its worth, you don't have to have all the characters for the golden ending. I didn't have Travis or Trish. But it's certainly your choice to do so if you want to.
@NotoriousWhiz@komodo182 You can’t get every character on one play through (except with NG+ because your characters crossover) because some of them are Route-specific. Like when you vote to go to go to the palace, save the Roselle, or go to Roland’s castle: Going to the palace will give you Milo, going to Roland’s castle gives you Cordelia and saving the Roselle gives you either Travis or Trish. So it would take at least 4 play throughs to get everyone. I was just curious how many of the Character Stories I unlocked on my first play through.
