Female trainer's, I used to make a self insert but, then I got into drawing, and found that making myself in game was no fun, and making a whole new OG character I can play as was better.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

...I haven't found that many shinies whilst hunting (even though it feels like I can find random full odds ones on a dime)...
Hey remember when I said this literally 2 days ago? Well, in the time since then, I've found TWO MORE random encounter shinies.
The first one was when I was hunting a Chimchar outbreak. I quite like shiny Infernape so I was really hoping to get one. Unfortunately, the outbreak came and went and no shiny monkey. But then, as I was flying away, I hear the sparkle sound effect in the back of my ear and panicked to get to the ground and save. This was it, this was my Chimchar! I turn around... and it's a bloody random shiny Drifloon. A great shiny for sure but come on man! I caught it anyway and nicknamed it Outtada for being such and Outtada blue shiny.
Then about an hour ago, I was looking for an Abra to finish up it's Dex entry when all of a sudden a shiny sleeping Paras pops up out of nowhere. I crept up on it as stealthily as possible and chucked a nice plain Poke Ball which thankfully got it without any hassle. Now, let's jsut get this out of the way: shiny Paras sucks. Like, it's really bad. So, I ended up evolving it and I must say: shiny Parasect looks fantastic in PLA, very nice shade of yellow and orange. This one ended up being called Nooloo for no real reason other than it looked like a Nooloo (kinda like Larry from the Koopalings).
In short, I need a bloody doc for these shinies because what the hell.
Lol, those patch notes! So the Cherrim thing was a bug? I am just sat chuckling to myself. I used like 20 Ultra Balls on one trying to catch it and it wouldn't stay. The jingle haunted my nightmares.
Just defeated the 4th Lord and I really like the game. The only thing I would remove is the dumb star system gating. I mean have the system but do not let it be the reason I can't progress through new areas and explore.
Also I would've loved if the games had more towns or even bigger cities.
Ah, I'll check for rustling trees around the Heartwood then. I also need to catch a combee for a quest, and need one from ramanas island, which only spawns in trees I believe.. so I have to get lucky with trees shaking there as well.
Then I heard some Pokemon are only exclusive to the space-time rifts, like the fossils and porygon... so I have a ton of rng to get through when it comes to those pokemon.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
been enjoying the hell out of this game though one thing im curious about finding out is how the game will handle pokemon HOME transfers since there are a few changes to the mechanics such as effort levels and alpha pokemon.
Mainly because im hoping to be able to transfer to a different game for use in multiplayer Vs battles.
though i do feel like with all the different games and the issue of compatibility it would be cool to have a modern day pokemon stadium that lets you use your pokemon from home since a purely battling game wouldn't have to worry about things like animations for camping or pokemon amie and the like.
@Pizzamorg That darn cherrim was so frustrating, i kept lowering its health, putting it to sleep etc and it would just keep breaking free and i had to keep going the animations of it getting buffs, all the while its just there bobbing back and forth with that goofy smile on its face!
ended up K.Oing it by accident but fortunately the next try i was able to get a cherubi and just evolve that.
@VoidofLight Not quite as rng as you may think, the occurrence of the distortions is random, but I believe that in every distortion you are guaranteed to get 3 of the exclusive spawns (or at least the game will try to spawn 3, occasionally it will fail).
@X-Slayer I thought the alphas are randomly generated like the other Pokes in the game, so some times it's level 30 and others it can be level 40 the same way they can have different natures becauses they aren't fixed.
@VoidofLight Finding a Porygon in my first ever rift when I didn't even know what they did was a wild experience let me tell you. I caught that thing instantly and it never left my team afterwards. I bloody love Porygon-Z.

I've heard a lot of people say that Paras/Parasect are the most annoying Pokemon in the game. To that, I have but one word: AMBIPOM. They are so brutal in the places they can spawn since they have Mud Bomb to snipe you from afar, Giga Impact to utterly cleave your health bar and even when you get into a battle with them, because they're so goddamn fast, they'll almost always move before you and either KO your lead Pokemon or just waste your time. **** Ambipom, all my homies hate Ambipom.
This also applies to Aipom but obviously to a much lesser extent.
I think I am super lucky that my sister obsessively grinds these games, so I'll get like a text saying like 'hey I've got a spare x do you want one?'. Like I get the excitement of going out and discovering this stuff yourself, but having someone do it for me, so I can skip the randomness and just enjoy the Pokemon itself, is nice too.
