I’m similar to you. Not sure if I want to play through the older games again without knowing if I can bring any of the Pokémon with me to S & S.

Still playing Let’s Go but due to the different mechanics of that game I’m not helpful about sending my Pokémon from that game.

There isn't enough in the trailer for me to fall in love with or outright despise. It was a middle of the road first impression. Sure the graphics were kind of eh but I did like the variety of different camera angles we saw in the trailer, makes me hope it can be adjusted in some areas. The world also seems more open. A lot of people wanted the wild battles to return so I'm not complaining. There is some sneaking mechanic which does seem to change things up somehow. I can't really say if I'll like or hate this without seeing some of more of the new gameplay and the new mechanics they added.

I've heard a few people say this. I really don't get where this is coming from. The graphics look great to me.

It's definitely not the best looking Nintendo game ever, but it's definitely up to par for a first party game.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

My only true wish is that they give us a sliding difficulty scale. The pokemon fanbase is represented by every age group and generation of people, so it would make sense for there to be an easy mode for 5-10 yr olds and then a harder mode for the rest of us. Wouldn't have to change story or anything just have the levels and moves of rival pokemon scaled up.

They have rom hacks that do it, it has to be possible. The moves thing would take a little more time but it would be nice to have a challenging experience. And before people say "Pokemon is as hard as you make it. Just use weaker Pokemon" I get that but if it was a difficulty setting everyone could get what they want out of it

@Gravitron Agree with you. That could be an easy way to represent all the wide range of age, and like you i think it should not be so difficult to implement.

@Gravitron You can even keep the levels the same I think; just give them better moves, a better AI and EV/IV trained stats. That's enough.

Daloblast

@Gravitron They did something like that with keys in gen 5, except they were hard to get. I do wish there was some sort of difficulty level though.

A battle frontier ala Emerald is one of my petitions. And ton of minigames ala pokeathlon HGSS.

@ReaderRagfihs Thug Life 😎 LoL. You know when a man live at limit when his team consist in pure metapod gang. My respects.

I just want some actual content to sink my teeth into after the main campaign.
XY and the original SM were pretty disappointing in that regard. I only rarely play online, let alone advanced breeding. I'm not interested in completing anything past the regional Pokedex.

Something like the frontier or pokeletheon again would great. Optional dungeons and well-hidden legendaries would also be fun. (They hadn't really did that since Gen 5)

I don’t think Sword and Shield will have every Pokémon. That’s unlikely, as there’s so many. But we also don’t know if Pokémon Bank will even be integrated into Pokemon Sword and Shield, though I’m thinking it will be. You’ll just have to wait off a little longer to know for sure. I’m thinking about getting a 2DS to rebuild my Pokémon bank too if it makes the jump over. We will most likely find out at E3.

As for the games themselves, I think they look good. Nothing earth-shattering, but they’re traditional Pokémon games. Two things would have really made me a little more excited - full control of the camera and Pokémon being in the overworld like Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee. It appears to me that neither of those will be the case, but we won’t know for sure until more is revealed.

It’s Pokémon though, so of course they can take my money.

I will love if the northern city in the map (i call it Poke-London) turn out to be the Post Game area with ton of facilities and diversity of challenges like Emerald and platinum did but better and bigger.

The majority of what we see for that London-esque city has to be the last before the League [unless that stadium isn't a Gym]. I really want that massive tower to be a post-game facility of some type - possibly like Realgam Tower from Gale of Darkness where there's numerous things to do relating to battles. While I never played the Pokéathlon, I would hope it makes a return considering sport seems a large focus for the region.

I think it's funny that everone is hoping for a unicorn pokemon. We've had one since the beginning in Rapidash.

Gravitron

Harmonie

@Gravitron Yet we have like five billion different kinds of cat Pokemon. I think we can have another unicorn Pokemon.

According to Serebii, Nintendo of America put out a tweet (now deleted) about how those stadiums on the Galar map are indeed gyms but are run by Gym Masters. That could be synonymous with Gym Leader or could stand for something a bit different.

@Harmonie or just give Rapidash a Galarian(that's what we're calling it right) form. Fairy Rapidash would be rad. But a brand new one would be cool too. Also Resolute Keldeo is Unicorn like. I fully expect a Corgi pokemon because they are the Queens favorite dogs.

Also the leak that said there would be no new type combinations is all but deconfirmed. If that leaked bug pokemon is indeed Bug/Dragon. I'd be shocked if it's another Flygon/Yanma troll.

@Gravitron I wanted an Alolan form of Rapidash with a rainbow mane, but to be honest, I don't think any forms going forward should be Kanto Pokemon anymore. GF/TPC/Nintendo have run Kanto pandering straight into the ground and it's annoying. They need to tone it down, big time.

I wish GF had just done the sensible thing to begin with and made Alolan forms Pokemon from all generations.

Keldeo is kind of "meh" to me. I want something majestic, based off of medieval western European depictions of unicorns. Long horns, bearded, etc. Galar is based off of a western European location, so this is the perfect chance! (Kalos might have been better, because some very famous unicorn tapestries came from France, but, eh, England works, too!)
