@Eel I got a Shiny Vanillite. I wish they would've made it like Let's Go where you can actually see the shiny in the wild.

DO NOT SURPRISE TRADE RIGHT NOW! People are sending out hacked unreleased Pokemon on surprise trade in a malicious attempt to get you banned if you try to use those Pokemon! Spread the warning!

It's probably best just to wait for Pokemon Home. God I hate malicious jerks like this!

@link3710 It's such a fun feature. I'm so pissed right now that people are doing this. I've gotten so many great mons from surprise trade that I used to breed competitive Pokemon. But now I'm afraid to even click the button because I don't want to risk it.

People are saying you only get banned if you use them online, but I've put 230 hours into this game, I'm not risking getting banned because someone else cheated! People doing this are the lowest of the low! Imagine a kid getting a Sun/Moon starter and being thrilled because they played Sun/Moon when they were younger, they train it up and go online and get the ban hammer. They did nothing wrong, they were effectively lied to and cheated. This is so dirty!

thanks for letting us know it is not worth it, I have spend so many hours in this game, if I get one I will just let it go

When I was trying to trade with my GF I randomly linked to someone using the same code and got a Chinese shiny Ditto on level 100 due both of us clicking agree too fast. What are the chances it's a hacked one or simply some Chinese guy leveling and maybe selling shiny Dittos?

@Heavyarms55 What is the consequence of getting a "hacked" Pokemon? Can it corrupt or wipe save data? Does it ban your account from accessing online features? Or simply from ranked battles?

@SmaggTheSmug Just getting one doesn't seem to pose any risk. But if you use it online in raids or battles you can get banned from online features. If you get a Pokemon not yet released DO NOT USE IT ONLINE under any circumstances. Better to just release it.

In a couple weeks at most, Pokemon Home will be out and we'll have legit access to all these Pokemon. There is no reason to take chances.

People are doing this as a malicious attempt to get innocent kids and casual players banned because they don't know any better. It's disgusting. People doing such a thing are human trash! Only the lowest of the low targets kids like this. Only the most selfish and bitter people make a game out of ruining other people's fun purely out of spite. It's the video game version of arson. Taking pleasure in someone else's saddness and nothing more!

I'm sure unreleased Pokemon were made tradable because Pokemon Home is coming soon, but it's not out yet and using unreleased Pokemon can still get you banned.

Using a hacked but released Pokemon should prove no problem, unless the Pokemon has illegal stats, moves or abilities that it could not normally obtain. I'm pretty sure even attempting to use a hacked Pokemon like that is blocked.

LOL My cousin got a shiny Arceus in a surprise trade in Pokemon Moon.

Guess I'll avoid doing that for awhile in Shield, assuming I go back into it.

@SmaggTheSmug these shiny dittos are 100% hacked in. But don’t pose any danger to your account.

In fact, they’re quite handy for breeding if you do get one, since more often than not, they have perfect IVs.

I saw this on Amazon for $49.99.... could not resist with an additional 5 percent discount with Prime CC.... Not the biggest Pokemon fan, but from reading reviews, it seems like my kinda game.

@rockodoodle It is a good game. The DLC should improve a lot of people's complaints. Be wary of surprise trades for a while

Bank update is also out but i'm getting an error everytime i try to update.

So apparently Home is IOS exclusive? Another reason I won't be getting it I guess.

Apparently it still doesn't show up by searching. You need to look at the Pokemon company profile to find it.

They'll probably fix that later.
