Hey everyone, sorry to interrupt the Home discussion, but I wanted to ask a question.
Does this game get any better? I am about 2 hours into it and everything seems to annoy me about it. Ruby GBA is the only game I've played in the series (put about 35 hours into it 5 years ago) and I really enjoyed it.
I bought Shield on a whim recently after I remembered having lots of fun with Ruby and I just can't get into it. Every conversation with Hop makes me want to switch off the console. Every battle my Pokemon are over leveled or equal leveled due to the XP sharing thing. The lack of random encounters make routes pretty easy to get through even when battling all the other trainers.
I'm not trying to hate on the game but it's just not very enjoyable for me when all it is is repetitive, easy battles and spam-the-A-button dialog.
Let me know if I can look forward to greater difficulty or less "railroading" gameplay later on Thanks
DO NOT SURPRISE TRADE Now that Pokemon Home is out, hackers have just decided to send out corrupted data via surprise trade. When you get the "pokemon" it fails to receive the Pokemon and crashes the entire game. And keeps crashing it every time you attempt to reconnect online.
@DC8 No, that's the game. At least the metagame is better than last gen. Well. It was, not sure what happens now a bunch of legendaries are coming back...
@DC8 Yes it gets better than the first few hours. I literally put the game down for a month after making it to Motosoke for the first time, cause I was so done with cutscenes, only for it to be easy and fun to play after that point.
That said don't expect the story to improve. The rivals are probably the most complex and well developed the series has ever had (low bar but still), but anything regarding legendaries is just terrible. What does become fun is the rhythm of exploring, catching, battling and training, as you'd expect.
So Wonder Box seems to trade every...8 hours or so? Maybe 6.
GTS is still borked though, as it always has been. I only need two things to reach 890. Zamazenta, which everyone is asking for Pokemon you can't even send off, and Genesect, one of the aforementioned

Is anyone have any new Pokemon added to the game?Maybe it's extra or not using it that pokemons.I only have starters.And ı need Mew,Mewtwo,Celebi,Jirachi,Cobalion,Terrakion,Virizion,Reshiram,Zekrom,Kyurem,Keldeo,Cosmos,Cosmoem,Solgaleo,Lunala,Necrozma,Marshadow,Zeraora and Melmetal.Yeah i know it is impossible for someone to come out and give one of these.Buti would really be grateful.
Unfortunately the SD card I have Ultra Moon saved on just barely cant fit a pokemon bank download after the update. I guess I'll just wondertrade anything worthwhile so other people can use the otherwise dead mons
@DarthNocturnal It's stupid, because they still can't stop people from hacking their moms, so why punish everyone with no cloud saves. It's going to happen either way. And you can still clone raid battles AFAIK.
