@FlashBoomerang don't smile at my misfortunes 😜. I kid. I love the game thus far though and the boss fights are clever as heck.

I am thoroughly enjoying it. I’m at the desert, and man this is a long area. Great because I want it to be worth 60$.

@MarioLover92 Ah, so there is still some incentive, even without Exp. Other than battles you had to fight, I avoided them in Color Splash when I could after fully upgrading the paint meter. There really was no point after that.

Wow, that Fire Vellumental was real business. Frustrating, hard, but oh so satisfying when I beat him. I couldn’t help but exclaim, “Yes! Yes!” with the final 1,000 folding arms hit

I LOVE this game!

So charming, so funny, so colorful, so fun to just control Mario and hunt for toads, manipulate the environment, so fun to solve the (admittedly simple thus far) battle "puzzles." An all-around good time.

It came in the mail yesterday and I told myself I would just play for an hour last night before bed, just to see the beginning and get to the forest I saw in all the preview videos. Next thing I knew, I looked at my watch and I'd been playing for four hours lol

That's awesome to hear. Glad you're liking it. Same thing happened to me where I just couldn't put it down and time flies. Except that started 5 days ago for me and never ended! It's all I do now.

The game is super addictive, and super fun. It gets better as you go though. Seems every streamer area is better than the last.

Warning: There seems to be a game-breaking bug near the end of the game. You need 4 stamps from springs to enter the fifth spring. But when you immediately leave the fifth spring, you can't enter it anymore. Someone on this site mentioned the bug and you can also find it in Google-search. It happens after the first 4 streamers, I am happy that I know it in advance!

I'm getting the jewel eyes at this point. Defeated the fire vellumental. The music and environment are both so great in this game. Some of the puzzles are seriously tough. Having such a great time considering some of the complaints you hear about the game

Still in the second area, but yeah, I'm really enjoying this game as well. Fun bosses, gorgeous environments, a nice level of difficulty, funny writing... other people can trash this for not being an RPG, but as far as I'm concerned, this is Nintendo's best release this year.

@Ralizah you sure about that? I've seen the amount of hours you put into AC 😉. In all seriousness, im willing to put it just under XC:DE, but its definitely the best new game nintendo put out this year.

One of my favorite games by Nintendo on the Switch, easily. Quick question: When the enemies appear on the battle screen BEFORE they scatter, are those the formations you should try to get them back into? I've had plenty of battles where that seems to be the case and others where I found a solution where that was most definitely not the case. (Apologies if already asked)

I'm running into an issue in Shroom City where I can't whack the Toad that's taking up a hole in the center of the water fountain in the hotel and I have a feeling that it's a Toad that I need in order for the stuff in the scorching desert to activate. I hope I don't have to start my game all over again

@MarkL1987 if I recall what youre talking about. Theres a secret room off of that room you need to find. Dont want to spoil it for you, but look around that room for an entrance to the left or right

If it's the 1000 fold arms secret, I already got that and then the Sniffit that occupied that spot ran off and I then ignored the Toad I'm referring to until now.

Well, I was able to progress without needing that Toad after all

It's a known glitch. If you dont whack the toad right away you can't do it later. You dont "need" it but it will be missing for 100% completion.

You unlock a setting (may have already done it, check the settings) where it circles the original spots in battle to line them back up at.

You dont have to use those spots though. There are often other solutions.

Interesting. I know I still have ??? in some of the settings. I'm at the top of the tower of the red ribbon. It was just something I've been wondering. There have been a couple battles where I honestly just couldn't seem to get the solution, but in general I've been doing well.
