Back on topic, I think there's probably going to be a Smash segment (again). Possibly more info on Super Mario Party since that's just around the corner too. Maybe some indie game announcements too. I suspect they will spend more time talking about Super Mario Party then anything else. I hope there's information on NOS, but to be honest I'm rather doubting they will include it. If they do, it might just be a single comment along the lines of "Online Service goes live on X date".
But I have a sneaking suspicion we wont even know when it goes live until Nintendo Online Service goes live and ya have to pay for it to play online multiplayer.

@Tsurii If it helps, Miyamoto mentioned in early 2017 (I think) that the project had been temporarily shelved, with the implication it was to get the Switch launch line-up ready. So it's probably entered development again at some point since then... hopefully...
This is my idea of what will happen. Minute 0 - 1 Yoshiaki Koizumi introducing the Direct. Minutes 1 - 6 Some 3DS news and a spotlight on Persona Q2 (whatever that is) Minutes 6 - 16 Nintendo Switch Online details - the remaining 10 NES games, confirmation of SNES games, description of the exclusive members-only offers and a reminder of the free 7 day trial. Minutes 16 - 21 Super Mario Party highlight- introducing a new mode and characters. Minutes 21 - 26 New big games/ports being revealed - Pilotwings, 2D Mario, F-Zero Minutes 27 - 30 Bigger third party games being revealed (Spyro, another Bethesda game and an Assasins Creed port) Minutes 30 - 32 A Metroid Prime 4 trailer showing a few (probably 5 at most) seconds of gameplay and a release window (Late 2019, early 2020) Minutes 32 - 33 A Smash character reveal trailer shows of Isabelle and (maybe) Tom Nook. New Animal Crossing stage shown. Minutes 33 - 35 Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch shown with a Summer 2019 reveal.
I don't know whether to or whether not to expect something as big as this, but this is my hopes.
Persona Q is a quirky dungeon crawler that blends Persona with dungeon crawling/cartography of Etrian Oddysey. Fun game, and it convinced me to try Etrian Oddysey. Which I don't regret doing. Although I'm not sure how exactly the cartography part would work on the Switch.
@MisterPi Yes, of course, Pikmin 4 will be there with all it's friends, Half-Life 3, Deep Down, and the QoL device. They'll all be there. Just rest your eyes....think of the happy showcase of all these nice thoughts.....
give me that Links awakening remake, or literally any first party game like F zero, Animal crossing, and pikmin. Then it will be the greatest direct ever
@Cobalt I literally don't care what it is, but any port or new game announcement or Bayonetta 3 details would make this direct for me. I'm like, half considering digging out my Wii U to play some Wonderful 101, but I should probably hold off and just play through it again on the go... don't mind rebuying when I'll probably put a 100+ hours into it.
