Plan to hunt this weekend. But I'm holding off making it to G Rank until I thoroughly exhaust all the HR content both in the hub and village. I find it a waste of 2/3 of the game to just rush to G rank.

Love the screenshot and video capture though. I wanted to take screenshots SO BAD in MH3U, yet they didn't allow you to take screenshots to Miiverse despite the fact every other game on the system let you. And then on 3DS the graphics were horrible, and it was such a pain taking a screenshot and posting to Miiverse- like a 60 second ordeal just to take a screenshot. It's amazing the small things you take for granted, but the screenshot and now video capture capabilities, are fantastic.

Wow, getting to the 5 star urgent in village quests was a bit confusing. I remember doing it in MHXX, but it still stumped me for a bit.

Working on the 3 Star Village myself. Almost done with the Key quest then I'll work on getting HR3.

How good is this game? Just wondering as I Haven't decided whether to get it or not.

@bixente It depends who you ask. If you only played World, it will take some but not much adjustment. If you like every hunt feeling like a boss fight, except gather quest naturally, and enjoy grinding, chances are you will love it.

....Watching the "credits" video from Generations on here...makes me wish that we could play 3DS games on the big screen. So many screen options they could use not to mention filters and stuff to make the visuals look decent...

Just reached 7 star village quests... aka high rank.

Granted I already have high rank equipment from the transfer and making it to HR6 in the Hub, but still, it's good to finally unlock it in single player.

Main issue I have with this game....they gave 2nd generation too much love here. Would've been nice to see some 1st gen maps....instead we just get the Verdant Hills (and Dunes if you wanna count that), same with 3rd gen. I loved the Sandy Plains, and would've been interesting to experience the Flooded Forest from Portable 3rd. The Volcano was also my favorite of the rest of the volcanoes. Instead we just get the Peaks, and that boring D. Island.

Ya, no prob. I'll probably continue to push through high rank single player before migrating over to the hub, but I imagine by next weekend I should be pretty close to starting hub quests.

It'd be nice to just clean out all the high rank Hub quests for fun before moving into G rank. Its such a large portion of the game, why skip over it ya know...

Hey now mister. Deserted Isle is like, maybe my favorite map in the entire series. Some of that may be nostalgia from starting with MH3U, but I do like that map. Every time I hunt D. Isle it feels like home. Like that's where it all started (at least for me). Was even cooler with the underwater sections. I particularly like area 5, with how huge and open it is. Its a unique spot for fighting monsters.
