Can I just say that was a very awesome little finale there. The more I play this game the more I'm impressed. I think years from now I'm going to look back on Mario Odyssey years from now as one of my favorite games of all time. It hasn't wowed me like Zelda did but it's just so perfect. More refining the formula then completely re-inventing it. In fact I think somebody was talking about that the other day. But it's just so much fun to play.
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)

Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
@Grumblevolcano The point of Smash Bros. is referential nostalgia, and Mario Kart always has returning tracks. 3D Mario and Zelda are different than anything else Nintendo makes. They never, ever reuse levels or mechanics without remaking them. Just like how, ending spoilers,
the Mushroom Kingdom in Odyssey is totally different from the one in 64.
On the off chance that Isle Delfino, Delfino Plaza, or any of the stages return they wouldn't have the same layout.
@AlternateButtonsAll Mario was really doing at that moment was competing with Bowser for her affection. She knew that, and got annoyed. I can't imagine Peach would leave Mario and Bowser stranded on the moon, though: I can only think she was initially taking off as a show of annoyance.
Not a great ending, but then, Mario platformers typically have disappointing endings (Galaxy being the one MASSIVE exception I've seen to this rule).
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
96! 96!? So close and yet so far to finally be done with this god-forsaken jump rope challenge after FIVE hours of doing nothing else! I‘m literally crying right now!

I like how this game has its own built-in achievement system via Toadette. Not as good as something built into the system that gives you trophies, but I can still see it increasing the longevity of the game.
@DevI was genuinely surprised after not finding her in the Mushroom Kingdom to find her wandering around the Seaside Kingdom. I take it I'll find her around other kingdoms as well?
I really don't get how you guys can play so much in a row. I still need to see the ending of BotW. Mario Odysey's ending is delayed for next year for me
@Tsurii Maybe I am just too old to play the whole day. After a few hours I have to do other things, and I also enjoy playing a new game over a longer period.
@Tsurii It may be a bit better on the scooter - once you can actually get to the jumping part that is. Got up to 70 on it. On foot, I at least get to 50 pretty consistently. From there, the problem is A. keeping the rhythm, B. trying not to jump too high (which is where the scooter should help) and C. not getting too excited and messing up in the process. You know, after having spent most of the day so far on that stupid rope and getting really fed up with the entire experience, I‘ll go and do other moons and save this little thing as a sort of Last Hurrah for all the task-based moons before this ruins my enjoyment of the game as a whole. At least, thanks to this minigame, I‘m starting to feel like playing Splatoon again.
@Chandlero I understand where you‘re coming from. A game of the caliber of Mario Odyssey doesn‘t release too often and should be enjoyed as such, like a rare wine for example. For me, there are very few games I can just sit there and play for hours on end (even though I have the time to do so lol). Most of the time, I play for an hour or a bit less and then feeling like doing something else. With Odyssey, it‘s just such fun that once you stop, you can‘t wait to return to it.
One thing I loved about 3D Land and 3D World was the tightly designed and challenging 3D platforming (esp. in the post-game). Is there any pure platforming in SMO, or is it more exploration and sandbox styled all the way?
Honestly, referring to the last kingdom, I have nostalgia from Super Mario 64, just not the way most other people have it. Others have it from playing on their N64, I have nostalgia from playing on my DS and Wii. Either way, it's super cool to see them bring back such an iconic location. But what's weird is the fact that I was able to access the Mushroom Kingdom before I beat the game. I found a painting in the luncheon kingdom that brought me to "Yoshi's house" which was weird, because I was pretty sure you could only access kingdoms you had unlocked when you tried to go into a painting.
So everyone is struggling with the jump rope. i failed about 5 times before hitting getting 100 and then got to 397 before I missed. Guess all those years of hot jump rope in Mario party 2 paid off.
@Snaplocket I don't really expect much from Mario games and I'm really not picky with most things. So that's probably why I'm more okay with it than you are.
