The rope jumping moon is the worst one in the entire game. Skipped ahead to NDC because I had a gut feel they‘d be giving Moons for that garbage. I just don‘t have rhythm. Worst of all, I become cross-eyed, hold my breath and stop blinking during the entire try and one of those three distracts me eventually. I could vom rainbow about how stupid this minigames is.

Just finished the main story. This game truly is something special. I've never experienced an ending quite like this. It brought a big smile on my face.
Does anyone have hints on catching the glowing butterfly in the Lost Kingdom? It's one of the only moons I'm missing from that kingdom, no matter what angle or how fast I go at it I can never seem to catch it.
@Octane I find tricky jumps like that are basically required for beating many of the Koopa races.
It reminds me of Final Fantasy X and dodging lightning 200 times. Although the fact I got this one in less than 5 minutes, while it took me hours to dodge the lightning, tells me it's much easier than that.
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
@Octane Thanks! I was treating it like the glowing birds from the other kingdoms so I figured I just had to jump at it and hit it while it was in the air.
Can anyone give me a hand with The Caged Gold Moon?
I'm having trouble breaking it out of its cage.
You need to use one of the enemies that you throw your hat on and they shoot at you. It’s on the same floor level from the cage, just across from it. Throw it at it with the cage behind you and then jump. This video shows what to do if needed. https://youtu.be/35mL_FcVaJs
Probably stupid question but anyway... how music list works?! When I select track it won’t play for some reason. List is not complete btw.. does it has something with it?
EDIT: nvm.. I figured it out. You apparently can’t play music from kingdom select screen.
Music is awesome in this one.. so much references with other games. Like Shiveria music reminds me of wind waker, Bowser castle of FE Fates... if only they added “play next” feature.
@Dev I think it's possible they'll include it as a DLC kingdom if they decide to go down that route. I would be all for getting some DLC that adds new kingdoms.
This bloody rope challenge is doing my nut in, it really is. My problem is once I start something, I have to keep going until I’ve completed it. Could be a very late night for me...... 76 and then I fail, ahhh!
So, I finished the campaign. The final boss and ending were pretty underwhelming, but it's hard to be disappointed when the game immediately opens up the funnest kingdom in the game afterward. I'm not even a fan of Mario 64 or have much in the way of nostalgia for it, and I still thought the Mushroom Kingdom level, with its multiple nods to Mario 64, was awesome. This kingdom must be nostalgia overdrive for someone who actually played and enjoyed that game as a kid. Not to mention all the cool stuff in it: the paintings where you fight all of the bosses again. The well where you do that challenging timed 2D segment (with a cool Mario Galaxy twist near the end). The radio that plays the Japanese version of Jump Up, Superstar! This kingdom is so dense with amazing content. I lost hours to it once I first got there.
In terms of the main campaign, Mario Galaxy is still my absolute favorite, but this game might just start becoming my favorite in terms of how fun it is, how much stuff there is to do, all the post-game content... I'm absolutely in love at this point!
@Dev Ah, thank you. I guess hat ships can travel a lot further than private planes. Some areas from Isle Delfino would work great as DLC, but I don't think Nintendo would make the same levels over again. Maybe it's just on the map for the sake of continuity.
@Haru17 Well quite a fair amount of extra content (paid and free) have been returning content from previous games. Like how Splatoon 2 has Splatoon stages, Mario Kart 8 DLC and Deluxe extra content has returning stages/characters/karts from previous Mario Kart games, Smash had some veteran fighters and stages as DLC, etc.
So I think DLC could include some Isle Delfino stuff, maybe even say a DLC pack in a season pass.
