I knew they were going to end the midway point on a Rainbow Road, I just didn't expect them to choose the most beloved one of all of them so soon!
Wave 3's looking fantastic overall though. Some fan favourites like Maple Treeway and Peach Gardens, under-represented ones like Alpine Pass and GBA Boo Lake and some immensely intriguing Tour tracks to boot. I thought Wave 2 was overall a bit meh (still good, but didn't like it as much as Wave 1 overall) but Wave 3 is looking to be a whole lot better and it makes me even more excited for the remaining 3 to come!
Will definitely say though: putting Whomps in the Berlin track seems a bit tone-deaf to me.

Wave 3 looks like it's got a nice lineup of courses. I already loved Peach Gardens and Merry Mountain when they first gave us a glimpse of wave 3, and I love that Maple Treeway is making a return! The Tour tracks are once again gonna be brand new to me, so I'm excited to race on them, with an actual controller of course. I didn't expect MK7's Rainbow Road to make a comeback this soon, so that was a pleasant surprise, too. I do wonder what the last course of the Spiny Cup would be though. If it's not gonna be Rainbow Road from Double Dash or Wii, perhaps they'd make an Ultra Rainbow Road that takes elements from all the Rainbow Roads from throughout the Mario Kart series. Something like that. Though, this is just a wild guess on my part.

Given how Nintendo seems to be consistently picking tracks that were picked a lot online in MKWii and MK7, I'd guess the non-Tour tracks coming in waves 4-6 are:
SNES Vanilla Lake 1 or 2 (Vanilla Lake was on a billboard in Coconut Mall, Vanilla Lake would be one of the deep cuts)
N64 Bowser's Castle (picked a lot in MKWii)
N64 DK's Jungle Parkway (picked a lot in MKWii)
GBA Cheep Cheep Island (there's 1 deep cut pick per wave)
GBA Sunset Wilds (there's 1 deep cut pick per wave)
GBA Bowser Castle 3 (picked a lot in MKWii)
GCN Daisy Cruiser (picked a lot in MK7)
GCN Waluigi Stadium (picked a lot in MKWii)
GCN DK Mountain (picked a lot in MKWii)
GCN Dino Dino Jungle (Dino Dino Jungle was on a billboard in Coconut Mall)
DS Delfino Square (picked a lot in MKWii)
DS Airship Fortress (picked a lot in MK7)
Wii DK's Snowboard Cross (picked a lot in MKWii)
Wii Koopa Cape (picked a lot in MKWii and MK7)
Wii Rainbow Road (picked a lot in MKWii)
Waves 1-3 had 15 non-Tour tracks so I guessed the same quantity would be coming in waves 4-6.
I am absolutely loving the music of Peach Gardens! I was wondering how they were going to remix this one, and I honestly couldn't be happier. The violin is so chill and it fits the theme of the stage perfectly

@Grumblevolcano Nope the leak has confirmed no more N64 or 3DS tracks remain. That said, I kinda hope Nintendo squashes the leak by changing a few of the confirmed tracks to different ones. I'm not going to post the leak since I'm not sure how to use the spoiler tags lol. 🤣
Just going to point out that Tour's track ID ordering system means we can figure out some courses prior to their release when gaps open up between tracks. A gap opened up for a SNES Bowser's Castle with the 3.1.0 update, so one of those is my guess for the remaining SNES course in 8 Deluxe - it's probably the only other theme they could get away with leaving the course flat on, plus it'd fill the niche for a retro Bowser's Castle
@TowaHerschel7 3DS I can see being the end because wave 3 got 3DS Rainbow Road but I don't see there being no N64 courses at all for the 2nd half. Looking at the new tracks in Tour (new as in non-retro) this year there was:
January - Singapore Speedway
April - Amsterdam Drift
June - Bangkok Rush
August - Sky High Sundae
There's currently 4 missing Tour tracks (Singapore Speedway, Vancouver Velocity, Amsterdam Drift, Bangkok Rush) in MK8 Deluxe and I don't see Tour getting a large increase of new tracks next year (more focus on retro) so that would mean more retro presence in the Booster Course Pass.
@TowaHerschel7 I’ll be completely honest I forgot how soon they’re dropping! I’ll definitely be sharing my thoughts on the courses when they come out, though.
Not sure on the exact time, unfortunately. Someone else might know though
