This is the person who originally datamined the prefixes for the Booster Course Pass. If fishguy6564 is backing the person in the quote tweet (who originally leaked Wave 2's course selection in advance and seemingly just did the same for Wave 3) and even retweeted a reply they made about the prefixes no longer being a means of predicting future waves, then we can presumably disregard the prefix and even prefetch leak outside of the courses they feature. As for the Wave 3 teaser, all but 1 of the courses are the same as the leak, though the order has been shaken up. So it's likely that Wave 3 will be comprised of these tracks in this order:
Rock Cup
Tour London Loop
GBA Boo Lake
3DS Rock Rock Mountain
Wii Maple Treeway

Moon Cup
Tour Berlin Byways
DS Peach Gardens
Tour Merry Mountain
3DS Rainbow Road

Yup...they're shafting Double Dash again. At least we know Waluigi Stadium will still happen, and Maple Treeway is a worthy tradeoff. For now, I would at least assume that the number of tracks remaining from the earlier leak is correct. This leaves us with 1 SNES course, 2 GBA courses, 4 GCN courses, 1 DS course, 3 Wii courses, a whopping 8 cities, and 5 unlabeled tracks.

Sorry PikaPhantom, but I disagree. You can say as much as you want, but I am still backing the prefix and music leak for the Booster Course Pass, unless I have been proven wrong.

Leaked Courses for Wave 3:
Rock Cup:
Tour London Loop
DS Peach Gardens
GBA Boo Lake
3DS Rock Mountain

Moon:
Tour Berlin Byways
GCN Waluigi Stadium
Tour Merry Mountain
3DS Rainbow Road

@WaterKirby1964 I'd agree with you if not for the backing of the guy who leaked the prefixes. If he's saying to disregard them, then I'm willing to trust someone who previously got Wave 2 mostly correct (Snow Land was a bit of an odd one, since it was teased with an image of SNES Rainbow Road but the layouts are very roughly similar so IDK). It is odd that Maple Treeway would get moved a year up, supposedly, but I doubt the turnaround time on these tracks is that much considering they're pulling the models from Tour.
Also going to break down the teasers for each Wave 3 track since they're not all obvious:
London Loop is the Liz Truss lettuce image with added Luigi caps on both (two Ls...LL...London Loop)
Boo Lake is a pair of coordinates that line up with Boo Boo Lake in Oregon
Two Dwayne the Rock Johnsons - Rock Rock Mountain
Acer is the genus that maple trees belong to
The Berlin Byways one is Oktoberfest
Peach's...feet are self-explanatory
Cherry Mountain (Dew) is a rhyme
3DS Rainbow Road seemingly has an abstract depiction of Saturn

@Kairu Yep, it's all included in a one time purchase. If you have NSO Expansion Pack though, you can basically 'rent' it until your subscription runs out along with the DLC for Animal Crossing and Splatoon 2. It doesn't lock you out of just buying it though so if you already have the higher tier, my advice would be to download it through there and then get it fully whenever you feel like it

The next track in Tour appears to be GCN DK Mountain given the volcano mention and the faces on the trees.

In addition to GCN DK Mountain, Tour is getting GBA Riverside Park in this tour.

What an interesting turnaround, in 2014 there had only been 7/20 Super Circuit tracks used as retro and now between MK8 Wii U DLC wave 2, MK8 Deluxe and MK Tour we're up to 15/20 (Yoshi Desert and the Special Cup are the only unused ones currently).

This ad shows a few seconds of gameplay footage on Merry Mountain. Doesn't tell us much, but it does show that the minimap was rotated 90 degrees from Tour and where anti-gravity will begin. Disappointed that they didn't update the halfpipe texture to be like past games

Grumblevolcano

I had a look at GCN DK Mountain and GBA Riverside Park gameplay in Tour. DK Mountain's layout looks identical to how it is in the MKWii version (including the halfpipes) meanwhile Riverside Park is simplified in 1 part of the course compared to the Super Circuit original.

@Kairu All the GCN tracks have been used in at least 1 game as a retro track except 4:

  • Mushroom City
  • Wario Colosseum
  • Bowser's Castle
  • Rainbow Road

MKDS

  • Luigi Circuit
  • Baby Park
  • Mushroom Bridge
  • Yoshi Circuit

MKWii

  • Peach Beach
  • Mario Circuit
  • Waluigi Stadium
  • DK Mountain

MK7

  • Daisy Cruiser
  • Dino Dino Jungle

MK8 (so far)

  • Baby Park (Wii U DLC)
  • Dry Dry Desert
  • Sherbet Land
  • Yoshi Circuit (Wii U DLC)

Tour (so far)

  • Baby Park
  • Daisy Cruiser
  • Yoshi Circuit
  • DK Mountain
  • Dino Dino Jungle

So I'd imagine we'd get at least the following in the Booster Course Pass given the gradual difficulty of the pass:

  • Daisy Cruiser
  • Waluigi Stadium
  • DK Mountain
  • Dino Dino Jungle

Finally got around to playing around with the Wave 2 tracks.

New York Minute - Can't say it does anything particularly standout, however I like that the course changes up each lap (looks to be a pretty standard feature of the Tour tracks at this point, but it's a good one), and the jazzy music rocks.

Mario Circuit 3 - A really good no frills race track that just feels really good to try & beat your best time on. Nostalgic too of course.

Calamari Desert - I've started to get a few decent runs at it, but for the life of me I can't really seem to keep from losing control of myself at some point during this one. At first I was thinking because it's an all dirt track, but I don't seem to have the same issue on similar tracks. Probably my least favorite of the bunch though (also don't like the precedent that they added a little bit of the red scaffolding from one of Tour's alternate variations during one lap. A tiny bit is okay, like what is featured here, but the stuff never really meshes with any of the tracks thematically and a bunch of the stuff can look tacky).

Waluigi Pinball - A really bright, fun track. One of the few tracks where the track obstacles actually feel like they can have an impact & you've gotta be on the lookout at pretty much all times, which makes it interesting. Feels really good when you get a good run with no mistakes.

Sydney Sprint - Feel very similarly to this to how I feel about New York Minute. I totally thought it was called Sydney "Spirit" for the longest time though, even on Tour, lol.

Snow Land - I feel similarly about this one how I feel about Mario Circuit 3, though it's naturally a bit trickier due to the ice. Another really fun one to best your top times on.

Mushroom Gorge - I'll be honest... I thought this was already in the base game. I haven't played MKWii or MK7 in ages yet it feels like I've played this track yesterday. Anyhow I'm glad it's here now as it's a really solid, fun track.

Sky High Sundae - Not as good as Ninja Hideaway, although as that one was exceptional that's not a knock against this one. I like that it has a bit of antigravity for some twisty perspective fun, and the little freezer diner at the start is cute as heck.

Pretty solid selection overall, IMO.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

A good lineup of courses but disappointing that yet again there's no Double Dash.

StarPoint

Yeah, I really hope we get some DD!! in the next couple of waves.

Other than that, though, this is an awesome lineup. Maple Treeway and Rainbow Road in particular are some of my favorites, along with Peach Gardens and Rock Rock Mountain.

December 7 is not too long to wait either!

Anyone got any ideas of how turnips connect to Tour New York Minute, SNES Mario Circuit 3, N64 Kalimari Desert or DS Waluigi Pinball? All the other DLC cups so far have 1 course with clear connections to the cup icon:

  • Egg Cup - GCN Yoshi Circuit
  • Triforce Cup - Hyrule Circuit
  • Crossing Cup - Animal Crossing
  • Bell Cup - Super Bell Subway
  • Golden Dash Cup - 3DS Toad Circuit
  • Lucky Cat Cup - Tour Tokyo Blur
  • Propeller Cup - Wii Mushroom Gorge
  • Rock Cup - 3DS Alpine Pass
  • Moon Cup - 3DS Rainbow Road

Anti-Matter

I dunno.
I don't really feel excited with the new DLC tracks as I felt it was not quite right business practice by overmilking the franchise.
Even I rarely played my Switch games recently after I got more and more PS4 games.
My hype has been switched.

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!
