Topic: Ion Fury

Saw that there was no topic on this game yet. Anybody played this?

I have it installed on my Switch, but I’m waiting for a patch, because there’s no invert aim option and I can’t play without it.
Tried it for a few minutes and it looked very good. A cool game in the style of Duke Nukem 3D, Blood and Shadow Warrior.

There’s also a physical version that will be released in Juni I believe.

I'll probably get it when the physical version has come down in price. Looks pretty good. I certainly enjoyed the FPS games of that era.

I will probably get it day one. It looks fantastic and I was surprised that its price is much lower than other games.

Yeah, I find it weird that NL didn’t do a review as of yet. I mean, this is not just a small indie release. It’s a 3D realms game and that’s saying a lot for an 80’s kid 😅

@dewokkel No invert option? Sacrilege.

I just hope next month's physical release has the invert option patch baked in.

A patch is on the way according to the developer. PS4 and Xbox had it a day after release and that’s a week ago. Switch still doesn’t have the patch. I don’t know what Nintendo is doing, but it takes ages.

@Magician @dewokkel Invert option for? The game is with the messed up old controls that up is down and vice versa?!

@Zuljaras no, when you move the right thumbstick up, the camera moves up. I want the “messed up” way of playing.

@dewokkel Oh so it is the modern pattern in the game like on all FPS games from this and the last generation?

I remember that there were games that when you move the right thumb stick up and the camera looks down. It is almost impossible for me to play that way

Hm, still no update for this game. It came out on may the 14th. That’s pretty bad.
Developer says the update is already submitted to Nintendo, so I’m curious what’s taken them so long to publish it.

@dewokkel It probably has to through a series of QA by Nintendo before they can release it.

PlayStation had the patch a day after release.
