@Barbiegurl777
I have ever ordered from playasia so many times and all my games order delivered and i got the games.
Don't listen to Tasuki.

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

Zuljaras

I have ordered from play-asia only one time. It was FFX-X2 for the Switch and it took 3 months to come to me (EU country). It was waaay too slow.

@Anti-Matter You are very rude to say that a person should not be listened to just because they obviously had a bad experience with an online shop. Maybe you do not have issues with them because you live in an Asian country and the orders are faster there.

You are not the only one here with the ultimate opinion.

Next time think before you post.

SwitchForce

@Zuljaras Unless problems/issues can be verified since users on here don't identify themselves that is all hearsay to their problems and issue. Unless they post the actual ticket for NL readers to see that is a matter of opinion of what happened to their situation. I've ordered plenty of times from PA and considering it's International one should expect delays on shipment to their locations. As Anti-Matter said I a PA member always gets my issued resolved in timely manner. So since we have no actual ticket of their issue no one can claim one way or another.

SwitchForce

Zuljaras

@SwitchForce I was just saying that he was very dismissive of another user just because he does not like him/her.

I also heard about PA order problems and I am glad that I only had a delay.

And I should correct myself I got 2 games from there. I forgot about the Ninja Gaiden Collection

BenAV

@Zuljaras That goes both ways though. It sucks that some people have had poor experiences but at the same time it doesn't mean that anyone who has had good experiences is a liar.

Zuljaras

@BenAV Could you please quote me where I said someone is a liar? I simply stated that people have different experiences and one of them dismissed the other because he/she had a bad experience.

Zuljaras

@BenAV It more of that I am against someone staying stupid stuff than defending someone else.

As I said experiences may vary and that is perfectly fine. I waited enough (3 months for each game) and I got my items so I am happy, but other people did not have that luck.

The best way it to go to review sites and see what score play-asia has.

BenAV

@Zuljaras It was stupid stuff said in response to other stupid stuff though, haha.

My typical wait for games from Play-Asia would be around 3-4 weeks if there's no major complications with the shipping company which is definitely on the slow side compared to most other places I buy from. Not ideal but they arrive in the end so it's better than nothing.

I do have other question since it was brought up in the thread. How do you tell a fake Nintendo switch game from the real Nintendo switch game? Would it be super obvious? Or hurt the Nintendo switch itself? Just curious~ ✌

Happy Gaming! (^~^)

From what i can read, there are a few People that actually swap out the stickers on the Carts, making stickers themself so they have "higher value" like making something look like a Zelda BotW Cart to sell it for more.

The only way to tell fake Switch Carts apart is... playing them i guess, but beforehand? I don't really know, the Code is supposed to be the same on the Back and the Front of the Cart, but they might be different depending on Region, can someone confirm this?

Oh and in general, everything from China on Ebay is 99.9% fake, many Repros and such and some do not mention it. So stay away from stuff from China.

Someday, somewhere in the Sky...
may we meet again.

I've been importing for years.

Play-Asia
I've ordered probably 50+ items from Play-Asia over the last 10 years (games, figures, amiibo, etc), and never had a problem. All I can do is share my experience. And my experience has been great. They're slow, but they're reliable for me. And they always box the games so they don't get damaged. I love that.

Amazon Japan
Super reliable. Best packaging for protection I've ever seen. They strap your items to a cardboard slab, shrinkwrap it, then place inside a larger box and glue the cardboard slab down to the bottom. Expensive shipping nowadays, but good pricing and fast, quality shipment.

eBay
My favorite place to buy. My first time buying from eBay was in 2012, when I ordered a Wii U for $300. I got scammed, because I didn't understand at the time you were supposed to look at the seller's feedback rating, and use common sense such as, "OOS system for MSRP week of release is too good to be true". Thankfully, they have AMAZING buyer protection and refunded immediately.

Hence I began my journey through eBay. Over the years, I have amassed a buyer/seller rating of 100% with over 500 verified transactions. I have never been scammed since. The thing about eBay is, it's super safe provided you check the seller's feedback rating. If it's 98% or higher, with at least 50 transactions, you're safe. And I prefer to stick to 100% seller ratings, but if they sell tens of thousands of items, it's much harder to maintain 100% just due to the statistics of an unhappy customer.

As long as you check their rating, you can be fully confident you will get exactly what was advertised. But a word of caution. ALWAYS CHECK THE PICTURES. Check for damage, and make sure the item you'll be receiving is the one shown. If it's a collector item they may have several but only took pics of one. In that case I message them first and ask if the item I'd receive is damage free. And if its not, you can return under, "item not as described".

Amiami
Again, great for imports. Expensive shipping but it's always quality. This site is more for figures and collectibles than games.

Ordered once from Play Asia so far and apart the longer shipment it went well.
When it comes to games I once had an unsolved issue with a German seller on Ebay and once with Amazon.fr.

When I import games from outside the EU I always check if the VAT of my country is included on the bill. If not I'd have to pay the tax to the deliverer, which isn't leg breaking by itself but I'd have to cough up additional 15€ as handling fee no matter from which delivery company.
For single games that's hefty.

Since January 2021 owner of my first real Nintendo "home" console.

Amazon UK, Amazon Germany, Amazon France, Amazon Spain, Amazon Italy
Imports are trustworthy. But Amazon Italy has a tendency for their boxes to come crushed. Not always, but it's happened to me a few times. Love that VAT is deducted from price for those in the US.

FNAC
This is a shop in France that sometimes has exclusive steelbooks not sold in the US. Such as the sunset MH Rise steelbook and Pokémon Legends Arceus steelbook. You have to use Google Chrome to translate the web page but they're reliable. The steelbooks can be bought solo for $40, or they're free if buying the game for $50. So I typically buy the game, get the free steelbook, then resell the game on eBay for $35-40 and recoup costs. Cheaper than just ordering the steelbook.

@Lightgazer
Oh and in general, everything from China on Ebay is 99.9% fake

This. I'm OK with China for amiibo cards and cheap cables, stuff like that. But any figures will be knockoffs, guaranteed. That doesn't mean it can't be worthwhile still. Some Monster Hunter Creator's Model figures are insanely expensive now. And the knockoffs look almost just as good. If you can get a $350 figure for $70 and you're OK with it not being authentic, it's an option.

But ya, always check the seller's location. I tend to buy from US sellers. But sometimes I check other countries for items that didn't release in the US, like steelbooks.

SwitchForce

PlayAsia does have preorder that are once preordered there is no refund so it's up to the buyers to read carefully before placing a order if they choose to do so-only case is lack of inventory or Developer cancels the game entirely before preorders are fulfilled. As I mentioned since the poster doesn't show or give a way for anyone to view the support issue ticket asking and making claims tells us much to nothing. So doesn't matter whom you listen to or not but since no supporting documentation for anyone to see or read what happened in that order - that is all hearsay and opinion right now. I doubt they would address a missing or delayed order as I had no issue when asking when a delay happens. But like I said alot depends on Customs in your region and that can delay shipping or tracking and if it gets Damaged you the buyers needs to contact PA A.S.A.P. otherwise they have no documentation to follow up on issues. NL here has no power to enforce or do anything about problems resulting from PA and buyer issue or lack of issue.

Tasuki

@SwitchForce Oh, I do have proof that they are crooks. I have about a dozen emails of myself and I going back and forth about a refund and no it wasn't a pre order. I even have the document I filed with my CC company. I am not going to post it though because obviously there is a bunch of personal information on it and I am not going to put that out for the whole internet to see.

Used them and they are great and competitive. It’s like eBay. Buyers always win, sellers are more at risk.

@Lightgazer

Uhhh~ I figure with the Nintendo switch being region free people would be pulling crap with the cartridges like that. That's defently one way to tell a Nintendo switch cartridge though if you put it in the system & it reads another game altogether lol~ 🤣 That would also be bad on soo many levels though~ 🤦‍♀️

@AegisPrime

I know what you mean. I check both the seller's rating & feedback anymore so. Most are pleasant to deal with but there have been down right rude at times & for the life of me I can't understand why they list stuff sometimes if they have no intent on actually selling there products. Several times I did best offer & offered a little over half of what they were asking to try & be nice & meet them in the middle to start negotiating on a good price for stuff. Some been nice while others have been down right mean. It's just weird.

@Lightgazer

True. I ordered some jewerly making supplies / pacifier clips from over there this past month. Pretty sure they can't skew up that stuff lol~ My second hobby beside's video games is mechanical, reborn, vintage doll's from the 80's, 90's, early 2000 era to current day lol~ 🤣🤙

@Anti-Matter

Oiii. I'm not on either side. Both you @Tasuki make valid points. Why not call a truce between you guy's~ ✌🏳

@JaxonH

Uhh ok. Yeah I heard amazon Japan is good too but expensive lol~ Your right with ebay it's all about common sense & checking the seller's rating & feedback~ 👍

Happy Gaming! (^~^)
