I was just looking for the same link. Why are we getting inundated with bias recently? Do your research and check your bias at the door.

I'm still in the belief that EA didn't ship that many copies to avoid getting burned. Too many questions surrounded the release as well at that's all on EA. The biggest mistake was no friend online matches.

@gcunit I assume it's because Nintendo is creating so much more positive press with the Switch, it must appear to some people you're cherry picking haha.

@Spoony_Tech You can't play with friends online? How awful,i can't believe people on here are saying it's a good port knowing this.

I'm starting to get better. Little by little I'm learning more rules, more strategy and honing my skills. I saw Nintendo UK is running a social media contest to tweet #OnlyOnSwitch with a picture of how you enjoy FIFA on Switch, be it at work with your coworkers, on the train, even just your FUT team.

It is a good port... provided your main objective is not playing with friends online. Honest truth is it's not perfect- and there is a weird glitch that occurs sometimes were one of my players has a checkered green and blue face (doesn't affect gameplay and has only happened when doing kickoff mode with live form turned on) but it runs well (60fps), it looks sharp (1080p docked/720p handheld), it's got plenty of modes and content (kickoff mode, career, tournaments, women's league, online, FUT single match, FUT season, etc) and is night and day from past portable versions or even FIFA on Wii U. Up til now, the Vita version was the best on offer portably and this game puts it to utter shame. And the full game is on the cart. Save files are normal sized.

You compare this game to NBA 2k18, which corrupts save files any time you try to play offline, mandates 5gb internal memory per save, requires an immense download even for physical, has cut scenes that stutter and desync audio in career mode and is restricted from view when offline, glitches, bugs, intrusive microtransactions, etc... and you can see why people say this is a solid port. There are a few scenarios in which I would not recommend this game- the main one being if you are only buying to play online with friends. But if that does not apply to you then I wholeheartedly recommend this game, without question.

Is there a way to change your team abbreviation on FUT? I've already changed it once when I named my team but stuffed it by accident. I know it sais "you only have one chance to name your club" but is there any way around this?

@JaxonH It's missing the journey,squad battles,weekend league and more! I don't care how good it looks or how it runs. If this version is missing this much then i consider it a bad port. Especially when they're asking for 60 bucks.

Played a good bit today. Soccer gameplay is fine graphics don't look good to me. I still need to play more.

That gamespot review seems to focus way too much in what isn’t in the game than how good it is in its own right.

I don’t have a switch but I plan on getting one soon and that will be my only console so getting fifa on Xbox or ps isn’t an option, yeah they should point out what modes are missing but it won’t matter to a lot of switch owners as that will be their only console.

@Leon_Kennedy Totally. Gamespot (and any other reviewer) should judge a game on it's own merits and not how it compares with other system versions. I don't recall Gamespot docking score points from their PS4/XBone's review(s) because their versions weren't portable and could only be played whilst sitting in front of a TV (perhaps they should have?).

Journey aside, those are all pretty minor things imo. The PS3/360 version has even less than Switch, looks and runs worse, yet those are $60. And they don't even offer portable play.

If you're specifically looking for bullet points to list compared to PS4/X1 then ya, it sounds like a whole lot is missing. But compare to last gen versions it's better in every way (which lets not forget, Switch is not a PS4/X1 and it's far easier to port from last gen). I don't see anyone scoring those versions low or complaining about how much is missing compared to PS4/X1. Cause people understand it's a different version and comes with different expectations.

Quick question.......How can I play an international match? I'm sure I'm being really dumb, but it only seems to be offering me each countries domestic leagues (not international teams)

Should be under the "I" of international (no Joke) where you select teams. After that you can select Country.

Finally played a bit of this yesterday and I think it's quite good. I can see why the issue with playing friends Online has annoyed people but it's good piece of football game, like a refined older FIFA versions.

@MadCow74 Cheers.......I did eventually work it out by myself (I was having a "blonde moment"). I have to say whoever say's the Switch version of this game is the least realistic is talking rubbish. I've just played an international match as England and played like sh*te. The realism is extraordinary!

@Enoch72 very valid point. I don’t really plan on playing it online and being able to play it on the move is a big plus from me

Agreed. It's a great game and I don't miss anything in there. I don't play online and have no friends that play this game anyway. I'm very happy with my purchase!
