So I wrote in the other thread but I guess it was not for this kind of thing.
I tried to give it back for replace but I was told that the policy for dead pixels is for the unit to have 7 or more for HD screen. Also they claimed that they couldn't find them ...
I had seen 2 dead (bright) pixels that are only seen on dark background but after I turned my brightness to 100% I found another 2. The pixels are really small and they are almost impossible to spot when playing. If I turn the brightness to 30-40 % they are also almost impossible to see. But they bother me ... and I was told that it is ok for LCD display.
Here are photos of 2 of the dead pixels.
Could you guys tell me if you have the same issue when turning the brightness of the screen to 100%.
Does not compute. I think youve sved your own problem there buddy. Just play ya system and hey look at that you dont see em.
And whats us telling you about our experiences gonna do? Magically fix it?
Lets be honest this IS normal for LCD devices. My screen on my phone has them but the thing is thats a 2k screen! Ill never notice them unless I use a magnifying glass!
Honestly? Youre best off just doing as you said: keep playing and youll forget. Its only apparent if you look for it you said. Whack a screen protector on there too.
Now Playing: Mario & Luigi Brothership, Sonic x Shadow Generations
Now Streaming: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

I understand that but you know once seen cannot be unseen
Just a suggestion to the people
: Do not inspect you Switch screens like I did!!!
When I got my new iPhone 7 and turned it on for the first time, I first noticed dot in that white apple logo... and then... all I was seeing was that black dead pixel. Nothing else matters! 15 minutes later I was at my store and getting new one in perfect condition without problems. Shame that’s not the case with Nintendo.
I feel your pain bro.. stay strong 💪😉
@BLP_Software these will never stop bothering him because anytime he's on a solid background his eyes will be directed to them every time..
My suggestion to OP is if you love your switch, sell it at a loss and buy a new one.. but buy it at Target or somewhere you will be able to exchange it without much of a hassle..
So yea it might cost you like $50-$100 to "replace" your screen.

Can't sell it. I will make one more try to my retailer and then I will just let it go. Also I live in Bulgaria so we do not have specialized shops that will buy my Switch etc. I have to sell it to a random person through a site. I love my Switch because it was a gift for my birthday from my GF and I would not like to sell it like that, I would settle only for replacement. If not ... well have to be strong
@Zuljaras ok, then try to give them another "reason" for the exchange and make sure it's not the same people that you talked to last time... tell them it keeps randomly turning off on you, or maybe tell them you keep getting that black screen everyone keeps talking about. Something they will not be able to "check" that they will have to take your word it is not working correctly and needs to be sent back to Nintendo.

This is clever but I have to wait some time before doing that because the people are literally the same in the repair department of my retailer
@Zuljaras yes, i mean i think you should be able to persuade them.. but that sucks, there is only one location of the store? The same people work open to close 7 days a week?

The problem are the guys In the repair office. I call them 3 days and 3 days is the same person. Also they told me if I want they could send the Switch to Greece because there is their provider of games and consoles. But they assured me the result would be the same and I will get my Switch back in the same condition 1 month later.
This is probably my last entry for this thread. They have refunded me and after about 10 seconds I told the guy in the store that I want to buy Nintendo Switch again! And the told me to pick one. And I got the same Grey Switch.
After thorough inspection I did not find any dead pixels on the display!
After all Nintendo lied to me that they couldn't find the 11 (or more) OBVIOUS dead pixels. Depressing.
