@Bolt_Strike There is still a danger Nintendo once again found itself struggling to develop games in a timely manner like when they first made the jump to HD. So there’s a chance a further delay could happen, which is why it still isn’t being revealed.

@FragRed It's possible, but Nintendo's been firm in their statement of it being revealed in the fiscal year. If they were facing a delay I think they would've said something and held the reveal back even further. So I think the delays are most likely over, they seem pretty confident that they'll hit the current window.
@Bolt_Strike@FragRed While I do think they will announce Switch 2 by the end of the fiscal year as planned, if they had to delay the reveal further I figure they'd announce the delay around the February 2025 investor meeting.
@Grumblevolcano I don't think they'd suddenly reveal that in the February investor meeting. That would be a MASSIVE gut punch and would really turn off investors and fans. If they weren't 100% confident in the fiscal year window, they would've said so in the previous investor meeting. Instead they reconfirmed it. That shows extreme confidence that there's no further delays.

Worth noting that the tweet you linked to is jumping to a whole bunch of conclusions. Centro isn't really a source, they're recyclers of other posts. I'm not sure there's enough in that photo to conclude it's 8nm
Hey @Budda. Not sure if you found thesetwo posts from another discussion regarding Nintendo Accounts and NNIDs, but moreso on eShop languages. You might have to read some of the discussion (along with those two linked replies) to see where I eventually got to.

30% the week of the 27th
30% February
20% some other week
I’m not liking your low prediction for this week. But I’m assuming you are leaning towards end of January for a reveal. I hope the whole thing including games hasn’t leaked by that point. We do seem to be in a situation where the floodgates are opening wider by the day.

If it ends up not being February, then it’s pretty likely Nintendo is holding off until the end of March.
But why would it be after February? there are no games or events currently scheduled in February. Seems like a nice open time period to have both a reveal and a direct. Granted, I realize we said something similar last Fall.
Are people saying they won't do that because of the low-hype, minimal-marketing-budget DKC Returns port coming out for a console that we've all pretty much moved on from anyway?

It's more, why would they have scheduled Donkey Kong that week if they wanted to do Switch reveal that week? I realize the marketing hasn't been much for the game, but I doubt they want to go out of their way to distract from it and sell even less.
@FishyS
Sales of the DKC Returns port are not really a big concern to Nintendo, would be my guess. Everything about this port just kind of reads as a low-effort, low-budget project they're using to fill a 1st-party release for the month and maybe get between 1-2 million evergreen sales eventually, still netting them a nice amount of profit all told.
I don't think it has any bearing of whether or not they show the Switch 2 next week.
@rallydefault The theme park expansion is based on DKC Returns, it would be odd for Nintendo to go all out with DK only to just be like "who cares about DK, here's Switch 2 and a brand new 3D Mario".
