Getting ready to head out to the store to pick up my preorder in just a few.

Did y'all get your's delivered, or you doing pick up??

I feel so bad. I got to the store (in a smaller town, mind you) and there had to have been at LEAST 150 people waiting in stand by. Preorder was lower when I got there, but by midnight probably had close to 75. Don’t think many of the people in stand by will be getting one, but we have several stores, so hoping they are still able to find one!

Just got home from picking up my pre-order. Now comes my absolute least favourite part... trying to put on the screen protector.

I got it!!! Well, bought it rather. I can't believe it. Logged onto Argos this morning and was surprised to see I could buy one and pick up today from my local store (5 mins away). Also, paid just 68 pounds thanks to Nectar points.

So...yeah...guys...go quick to Argos website and you might be able to place one!!

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. I've been trying to get one and failing so far. I did get all the accessories I wanted... just no actual console 😆

That’s makes my delayed delivery even more frustrating as I work next door to Argos and they’re still in stock!

@Bentleyma it’s safe to say, i am never pre ordering ANYTHING from game again, that was the most anxiety inducing experience i’ve ever had

@JamesS2612 It is kind of mad they had them. Guess they wanted to keep hold of some for release day sales in store or they just got more? Very odd. Sorry that your one is delayed! I expect there are hundreds of thousands going out all across the country today. Hope you get your one asap!

Do our friend codes carry over? Same code and we keep the people we added?

About to go and pick up my pre-order. Had a sneaky look at stock here in Australia (it's almost 4PM in Perth now). Seems a lot of stores are sold out but there are still plenty with stock

Probably will be sold out everywhere by the weekend is my guess. Although I'm just looking at one retailer here, might be a different story for other stores. Certainly not going to be impossible to get but might require some hunting

Accessories look to be a bit more dire from what I can tell

Decided to go to a midnight launch for the first time in a long while to pick up my system (Mario Kart World bundle), 256 GB express card, Street Fighter 6 and the Pro Controller. Downloading the Gamecube NSO app now.

I have a Switch 2!

My Switch 2 is here! Was a little nervous as the plastic seal had been broken on the packaging. I had heard many a horror story about expensive items being messed around with, but it appears to all be intact, not tampered with and I was able to redeem my game code.

Let's go! Console finally arrived at 11:20, UK time. Nice to have joined the next generation day 1 for a change. Hope everyone reading this received their systems safely. Now, time to check out some Knockout Tour.. Happy gaming, guys!

For those that have gotten a Switch 2, I have a question.

Do you still have to press and hold the Power button to turn off the system (not putting it in Sleep Mode)?

That's a bit of a major gripe I have with the Switch 1 when the Wii and Wii U allowed me to turn off the system at a distance using a Wiimote or the GamePad.
