Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

@Grumblevolcano I was just about to post about this info. Since Wonder is playable at Nintendo Live, it was going to come out anyway. I could totally see Nintendo wanting to release it before then.

Tokyo Game Show starts on the 21st, so I feel like we're getting a Direct by then. If there's any SMBW info there, it'll probably those few worlds we know nothing about.

My official guess is that we're getting something between the 12-14. It's the week before TGS, and it's more than a week after the SMBW Direct.

@ElRoberico I also noticed that Nintendo Live starts with a 30 minute Treehouse Live segment for SMB Wonder:

Afterwards is the tournaments we've known about for awhile.

Right, here is my prediction for the one more thing. There seems to be some rumblings about a potential Smash pass 3 (bonkers) so I would love something like this to happen...

WaLuigi is looking at everyone getting their own games and feeling a kinda way about it. Mario Wonder / RPG, Luigi's Mansion 2, Peach, DK (maybe) and Wario Ware. So he breaks into Smash Bros without an invite and Sakurai has a hard time understanding what is going on when he tries to talk about it. At the very end of the trailer, it shows WaLuigi left the videogame door open...and we see another foot (in shadow of course) walking slowly towards the threshhold.

Or something like that.

The final Theatrhythm Final Bar Line DLC has been announced, 11 songs from FFXVI.

@Grumblevolcano The only tragic thing is that there's no XVI reps for characters, but at least the songs are being included anyways. The selection for a few of these aren't my personal favorite, but I'm happy with "My Star", "Away", and "Titan Lost", along with "Ascension".

i feeling the septembre Direct will be 90% focused on remakes/remaster, the remaining 5% will be new anouncement

Imagine if they show Prime 4 in the middle of the Direct or something then people would go nuts trying to figure out what the last thing would be (probably not happening, unless?)

@VoidofLight Has it been confirmed there's definitely no characters being added? I was thinking perhaps the FFXVI stuff would get added to Series Quests and there being unlocks like with the base game (you get a key, unlock the title and then get characters, complete all the songs to unlock something and then beat all the quests to get something else).

@GrailUK Maybe if Smash returns it ends up being reason there's Noah and Mio amiibo? Xenoblade has never gotten amiibo outside the Smash line before.

@Grumblevolcano I took it as they're just adding the songs like they've done with the other DLC song packs, and not a whole new campaign or characters. If they were adding that, I feel like they would've said something on it upon announcement.

Smash DLC would all but deconfirm a new console over the course of the DLC season.

@Grumblevolcano My thinking is the Noah and Mio amiibo are just because you can't obtain a specific costume in game, and they probably wanted to lock it behind a physical collectable for a series that technically doesn't have any. Doubt Smash is getting another DLC pack.

@VoidofLight Hoping we get news on the Noah & Mio amiibo soon. I have a feeling they were announced way too early but they’re overdue at this rate, heck even Zelda and Ganon + Deep Cut got actual figures before them and they were announced way after. Don’t think it has anything to do with Smash as it’s probably just for the N&M outfits in 3

@luckyseven Yeah, I was thinking it was just for N and M outfit unlocks, since people clamored for them to be included in the game at some point.

I feel like that's kinda what happened with the last direct with 3 Mario franchise games right in the middle.

I just don't see Prime 4 coming out in the near future, but eh. Anything can happen I suppose.

@luckyseven The timing of the amiibo announcements was probably about doing it while the games are still fresh. XC3 was getting its final DLC and TotK is a long game. Also in the case of TotK, they probably wanted a reason to bring up the game again in the June Direct and DLC either isn't happening or is far away.

@FishyS @VoidofLight, Metroid Prime 4 is gonna be a cross-gen game, but used to showcase the techinal/graphical perfomance of Nintendo next console, only expect the game anouncement on Switch sucessor reveal
