There's a playable demo of AEW Fight Forever at Gamescon this weekend. AEW's YouTube channel showed it off and it looked good. I am getting WWE Day of Reckoning vibes from it which is a good thing. Controls are pretty simple, you have a light attack and a heavy attack the shoulder buttons are used to reverse. Definitely going for a more arcade style wrestling game.

Same. Hoping it's a good port. Heck, as long as it's on par, or better than the bloodstained rotn game everyone complained about on switch, I'll take it. (I didn't mind the dumbed down port of rotn so I wouldn't be bothered! )
I managed to snag a pair of tickets to see Dynamite at the Coca-Cola Colisseum in Toronto on October 12th! So very excited to see my first AEW event live!
@Link41x That is awesome. I am waiting for AEW to come to my hometown, they were in my state a fee months ago but it was the other end of the state. Hopefully sometime next summer they will come to my town.
Have fun!!!

I don't follow wrestling much nowadays, but when I younger I was hooked on it. I would watch as much WWE as possible, collect every figurine I could find and overall loved the spectacle of it all. It even got to the point where, when I played Pokemon X for the first time, I caught a Hawlucha and nicknamed it Rey Mysterio (though it was hilariously a female). That 'mon was the first one I ever got to Level 100 (followed shortly after by my starter Greninja and my mainstay ORAS mon Pelipper) and I still hold it as one of my favourite team members I've ever had (I mainly just spammed Flying Press to be honest which makes the name a lot more fitting in hindsight). I also had a Rey Mysterio teddy prior to playing it (I guess I just really liked luchadors) that was one of those ones where you squeezed their hand and they'd blurt out a voice line. Let me tell you: the amount of mileage I got out of that thing would astound you.
I haven't kept up with the sport much since but I always appreciate the theatrics they manage to put on and the storylines they manage to weave (far more than any other sport I've witnessed that's for sure). So in summary: big fan of people getting smacked around I guess (maybe that's what got me so invested in fighting games and beatemups later on in life. Hmm....).

A&E's Biography stuff for Rey Mysterio Jr were on tonight especially with the Rivals episode of Rey and Eddie which had the silly I'm your papi storyline involving Dominick
I don't watch WWE anymore but I do keep track of it. I thought it was cool that they used Drew McIntyre's Broken Dreams entrance music at Clash at the Castle. It's alot better then his generic into music they use now.
However not pleased to see even with Tripes in charge Roman still wins and is champion. Keep holding people back WWE. I am sure AEW will use them properly.

AEW need to get better at the production side of things. Imagine having 4 of your major champion wrestlers in a backstage boiler room brawl and not even filming it!
@Tasuki I find it the opposite. She was used fantastically in WWE by elevating NXT to make the women division matter (which put pressure on the main roster to get better with their own women's division), had a great run on the main roster until her personal problems and injuries got in the way but then went on to be a great GM/on air personality plus WWE made a movie about her. That doesn't seem too shabby to me.
I can see it being WWE offered her a Hall Of Fame induction/legends contract but she turned it down as she wants to try her hand at wrestling again after seeing so many people like Bryan Danielson, Edge, Ric Flair, Stone Cold etc all come back recently.
Now my worry is one AEW isn't great at booking their women's division and they don't get a lot of telly time sadly despite having a lot of good talent and the other is she only going to AEW as WWE won't clear her to wrestle but AEW are willing to?
@jump And thats the problem with WWE. They get the talents, Paige, Bryan Danielson and use them more like trophy pieces. They use talent in the most ridiculous ways. I get it people get injured in that line of work but obviously they ain't injured enough if they are wrestling in places like AEW, Impact and the indies. WWE just holds onto talent like Paige and put them in GM roles so other companies can't use them while continuing to shove the same people down our throats, people like Cena, Roman Reigns etc. Now I can't say how it will be with Tripes in charge hopefully he uses his talent better then Vinny Mac did.
Now I won't disagree and say that Paiges run wasn't bad when it started I will admit that she did have a great run at the beginning but well as soon as Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Bailey even ones like Asuka that they buried showed up they tossed Paige aside like a used napkin, just like Bryan Danielson with Cena and Roman and many others. Yeah she had screen time but she's a wrestler not enhancement talent.

@Tasuki What's wrong with being a GM? Stone Cold became GM after he retired and he was great at it. Using wrestlers who can't wrestle as something other than a wrestler isn't bad.
Danielson was declared fit after he healed up, he had loads of matches and a title run (which was pretty awesome with his vegan belt lol) after he came back in WWE. He talked about it before he went on a long hard journey to get better, it's not like he had a minor injury. The same with Saraya, she has talked about how was told if she took a bump she could end up paralysed so I don't get the issue as I'd like her and others in these conditions to not end up as yet another sad story about a wrestler who dies young because they still wrestle when they shouldn't be.
The time you're talking when Sasha and co got called up is also around the time when Saraya went off the rails in real life, you can't blame them for not pushing someone when they were in that bad of a state and she was missing for most of it anyway. I don't see a problem with the likes of the Four Horsewomen or Asuka getting a title reign instead of Paige, they were over like rover and it's the exact thing you are complaining about always the same people being pushed.
